Summary: I played the game for the first time this morning. A few things before you begin. (1) If you have a hard floor (like mine is hard wood with a carpet in the center), you will need a good yoga mat since you are on the floor on your knees in some moves. (2) Take your measurements before hand: Neck, Chest, Waist, Hips. You will enter these in after your fitness test. It only allows you to enter whole numbers so you have to round.
A must-have for fans of the TV show looking to lose a little weight themselves
16 November 2010
Summary: One of the nice things about video games is that they let you experience things you otherwise couldn't. Most of us will never fly into outer space or face down a major league pitcher throwing 99 MPH. Similarly, most of us will never be invited to the real Biggest Loser Ranch for personal training sessions with Bob and Jillian. But this Wii fitness title comes remarkably close. The scenery in the game should be familiar with anyone who's seen the TV show.
Summary: This version is much like the first. Some of the same sayings, but a little updated so that they are not so repetitive. I love that you can have both Jillian and Bob, it is nice to have workouts with both. I was a little put off with the fact that the game is not able to play without the controller in hand. The music is not as repetitive either. The graphics have improved substantially and you can add your own touches to your avatar to make them look just like you.
Lose weight and have fun...this game is super fun!
22 September 2010
Summary: How incredibly fun and awesome for everyone in the family. It keeps track of your input and works with you to lose weight, exercise, educate yourself about nutrition and cook. It was hysterical to walk in the room and see my 12 year old (who is slightly overweight)jumping around like a bean and loving it as she followed the monitor of the gameboy up on the shelf...and then her skinny minny friend has even more fun doing the same.
Summary: I did a lot of research before I purchased a fitness game for the Wii. . . Biggest Loser had the best reviews so we went for it. My hubby and I bought it in January to kick start our weight loss. 8 months later and my husband has dropped 10 pant sizes and 100 lbs, I've lost 30 lbs (but only had 35 total to lose). I feel stronger and better than I have in years.
Summary: This is a refreshing change of pace from some of the other Wii products. I wouldn't say that I would completely use this alone, but it makes a great companion to the Wii Fit Plus, and I also own the EA Sports Active. I like the way the BL mixes things up. You never know what is in store for you each day, which keeps it interesting. I also like the "calorie counter"...while I know it is not exact...it does make you remain conscious about your food choices.
Summary: I had previously rented it at Blockbuster. I loved it immediately. Not only is it sooo much better than the Wii Fit...its consistent. Meaning my heartrate doesn't go down cuz I have to choose the exercise from the menu. It has options for warmup, the exercise, and cool down right there all together. It also has recipes on there that are easy to follow and very healthy. I absolutely love this product.
Summary: The first time that I really sat down and watched the Biggest Loser (BL) it was one of the most inspirational shows I had ever seen. I was out of shape, certainly nowhere near any of the contestants, but not where I'd like to be. I started working out, particularly when watching the show, on an elliptical and with weights.
