  • Summary: if you like tennis, if you like screaming at the screen at john mcenroe, if you like multiplayer, then this is the game for you. be warned though that either the sensor or internet connection really screws with your game sometimes when you play others.

As close as it gets to the real thing

  • Summary: I like playing Tennis in real life, but due to time constraints I am not always able to hit the court. I wanted to see how the game was. Following are the pros and cons of the game: Pros: 1. Very Realistic 2. Player actions are very natural and often mimic the actions of the real player themselves 3. Once mastered a variety of strokes can be played which are almost like playing the real thing. 4. Very entertaining Cons: 1.

Fun game but challenging... even for a tennis pro!

  • Summary: Grand Slam Tennis is definitly one of the better tennis games on the Wii... here are my recommendations: PROS: -Gameplay is pretty authentic, fun, and YES, it DOES give you a workout. -Cannot be played sitting in a couch like Wii Tennis... this one you have to stand up and do the shots! -Graphics are pretty decent and I enjoyed them. -Gameplay is straightforward nothing confusing. -Carrer mode is fun and takes you around all the 4 major tournaments.

  • Summary: Everyone loves this game, only we thought the game was going to have the players like McEnroe, do their normal antics & sayings, but they don't. So other than that, it is really great.

Great Fun for Awhile

CC from MD "amazon junkie", Amazon

  • Summary: The learning curve on this game was very frustrating, I felt like a spastic imbecile for the first week: I would swing and nothing happened, my player suddenly turned her back to the ball as it approached, etc. Slowly, it came around. I learned to follow my player's lead: if she wanted to hit a forehand then, by gosh, that is what I would do. I really started to enjoy the game...for about two weeks.

My Favorite Wii Game

Lemon, Amazon
19 May 2010
  • Summary: I bought this game about 4 months ago - and I am a FAN! It is a quantum leap up from the Nintendo tennis game that comes with Wii - much more complex and active, and difficult. You can build your player and play tournaments against famous players all over the world. I have also been playing online, and in the last month have played against players from Europe, Africa, and South America. Really entertaining - and a good workout!

Misunderstood game...

Amazon Customer "Superman_242", Amazon

  • Summary: I had a very hard time when I first played this game: I thought it wasn't accurate at all despite the MotionPlus extension. I got this and Sports Resort at the same time, and I was comparing to the extreme accuracy of the ping pong in that game. It's not that accurate, so don't drink the kool-aid that it's so amazingly accurate that it feels like real tennis. That being said, the actual swings you make are pretty accurate, ONCE YOU GET USED TO THEM.
