Button mashing fun but lacks overall depth.

SAW, Amazon
22 September 2013
  • Summary: TMNT Smash Up is a classic throwback to the fighting games of old where players would simply mash a combination of 2 buttons and deliver simple yet effective combos. The game succeeds on many levels but falls flat in a few (mainly on the overall depth of the game). If you are a fan of the TMNT franchise the character selection is pretty much what you would expect, The 4 turtles, Splinter, Casey, April, Shredder, Karai, Nightwatcher, The Fugitoid, a random Foot Soldier...

OKAY GAME

GAMESTOP , GameStop
13 September 2010
  • Summary: TMNT SMASH UP is trying to copy brawl. The game has a limited rouster of charecters though and having ninja is a bit stupid. the game looks good. It features the same controllers to play with as brawl. The controls are easy to use. This game has fun gameplay and lots of missions and a good story. I would say get brawl first and then this game. There are bugs here and there, but overall a fine fighter.

TMNT

Overstock
24 May 2010
  • Summary: This game is rated E 10+, but my 8 year old likes it. He had a little difficulty with it at first, but said it got easier the more he played. He gave it 4 stars. It also came with a mini comic book which he thought was cool.

Not quite a missed oppurtunity, but definitely could've been better

Vincent Vazquez, Amazon
24 December 2009
  • Summary: To be succint, this is exactly what you think it is. A great Super Smash Bros. clone featuring the TMNT license. Don't be fooled that there are no direct ties to Imagi's excellent 2007 CG film - it's clearly based on that universe. And it's largely a successful game - if you like Smash, you'll dig TMNT Smash Up. Especially since it's less hectic and more skill based. The problem with this game is content. It runs out of interesting stuff FAR too quickly.
