Great Addition to the story, but not without its flaws
10 February 2014
Summary: If you have played any of the Tales of games or the Previous Tales of Symphonia Game for the Gamecube, then you will be right at home with this game. It continues after the events of the first game and have reoccurring characters as well as many new characters. The story is a great addition to the story and has many familiar elements from the previous game. Overall its a great game but because its on the Wii it sadly comes with its few flaws.
Summary: I really like this game, but it is certainly not the best game I have ever played. I think it suffers from the same problem as Chrono Cross, which is that it had an amazing first game, and the second game was reasonable on its own merits but not as amazingly awesome as the first. In this game, you play two entirely new characters who interact with the characters from the first Tales of Symphonia game and can occasionally get them in your party.
Summary: (sorry about the possible spoilers..) PROS: -really fun battling! -- you can move around on the battlefield (This is one of my favorites because if you end up having only a little HP left, you can just run around so no enemies can get you!.. then you can wait until a teammate heals you or you use an item on yourself!) -hilarious skits (they are actually voiced this time!) -monster pact system -- (LOVE THIS!
Summary: Tales of Symphonia and it's sequel, which I am currently reviewing, are both great games, but I have to say the original is still superior. But, that doesn't mean that this is a bad game, just that it's not as good as its prequel. Pros: Fun battle System, typical of Tales games Great music, the battle themes are remixs of tracks from the original game. Hilarious skits. Great Voice Acting. Collet and Sheena. Great Story Cons: Monster catching system is tacked on.
Summary: I didn't like how the end left me hanging and how you couldn't use the casino.I liked capturing the monsters and evolving them and the little skits etc.I liked this a lot but I LOVED the first one I have on gamecube I beat it seven times lol.
Summary: The game 'Tales of Symphonia' is pretty cool, as you might expect. I don't mean to do any spoiling here, but there are a couple of things that did NOT impress me with this title: so far (I've been playing for close to fifty hours) and you can only fully control the two main characters... all your other allies can only be used temporarily.
Summary: Not that far into it, but it stacks fairly well against its predecessor. One problem I have with it is insanely strange pacing in difficulty of boss fights. I found out it was because your party's healer's AI is totally retarded. I switched to her and just spamcasted heals and can win more boss fights much better. Other negative would be some voice acting beefs. i like the new chicks voice, but Lloyd's got a different voice actor.
