Players get to use various characters from different Nintendo franchises. Mario, Link, Samus, Kirby, and Pikachu to name a few. Nintendo also partnered with Sega, and Konami to bring in some different faces.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Auracore MediaWorks
23 May 2008
  • Summary: While entertaining, it's not quite the smashing good time we were expecting.
  • Pros: Some of the best visuals on the Wii to date; fantastic multiplayer play, including online; lots of different modes to keep you interested, including a full fledged adventure mode; dozens and dozens of characters; a veritable Nintendo museum for the nostalgic; wonderful level designs.
  • Cons: Shallow and repetitive gameplay, despite lots of game modes; annoying audio effects; online mode feels limited; controls sometimes feel slippery and imprecise.

Brian Lara International Cricket 2007

Console Monster
10 February 2009
  • Summary: Ah cricket. The gentlemanly, English past time of thumping a red ball across the village green, while onlookers sip on their Earl Grey and nibble at cucumber sandwiches. In reality the professional game has progressed far from that idyllic image, into a tense game without margin for error, played out in front of large crowds. Which is fortunate really, as I doubt Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 would be around if it hadn’t.
  • Pros: Excellent co-op mode, Intuitive controls, Good learning curve
  • Cons: Random licensing, Some issues with the bowling system, Graphics are average
