Summary: My son received this game from his uncle as a late birthday gift. He was 4 at the time & was excited to have a new Wii game to play. Excitement soon turned to frustration & tears as nothing seemed to work right with this game. Okay, maybe he was just too young for it. So, all the adults in the house took turns trying it to see if it was just a game for older kids/adults. Again, nothing seemed to work right.
Summary: I was so excited to get this game after having a blast with both gamecube titles. I thought the games would be so much fun with the Wii's motion capabilities. They could only be more fun because of them, right? WRONG! This game is the single worst implementation of the Wii's motion features that I have ever seen. The games are ridiculously hard to get the hang of and the motion controls are the culprits.
Summary: Very boring. My cousins love this game for some stupid reason. Don't waste your money on this piece of crap. Go get a different game instead because like someone else said, you'll end up smashing it to pieces because it's so freakin' stupid.
Summary: Only a handful of the mini-games are decent, and the rest are impossible to control, or plain boring. A jump-frog game has so bad controls, you either go all the way left, or all the way right. The main game is fun, but a bit repetitive. Overall, this is a very bad game. Sega should have spent more time on it, considering its price.
Summary: This is the worst game on Wii that I have played. The controls are awful, this is almost as bad Super Monkey Ball Adventure, and both of those games ruined the great and addictive games of Monkey Ball 1 & 2. It's become clear to me that this series may never be great again. I don't know whether I'll buy the next Monkey Ball game that comes out. Don't buy or even rent this piece of crap, though.
Summary: I bought this game thinking I would have fun with friends and family. Boy, was I wrong. The monkey ball I remember playing was fun and actually had the monkeys in balls! Maybe I didn't play long enough to get to that point in the game... The point is I just could not get into the gameplay. The controls for some of the minigames were a little difficult. I just played it once and was immediately turned away.
Controls should have been great but are absolutely terrible

Summary: I am a big fan of Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2. I even liked the GBA game. I expected great things from the Wii version of this game. I slid the game into the Wii and started it up. I immediately went into the main game and went to play. According to the instructional screen I was to hold the wiimote parallel to my arm's direction (like a DVD remote) and tilt it. I tried the game this way. Its TERRIBLE.
