List All 6 PricesThere are two virtually independent components to Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. On one hand, this is a twitchy, challenging, fast-paced single player puzzle game. On the other, it is a large collection of minigames intended for multiplayer Wii parties. The almost absurd cuteness of the monkeys ties the game together, but the two components [...] Read more
There was never going to be a game that was more suited to the Wii’s remote than Super Monkey Ball. Rolling a monkey-manned ball and essentially tilting the environment by twisting the remote in the necessary direction was always going to work well, and these new motion controls have effectively breathed new life into the simian series. If this had been the first time Monkey Ball had graced our consoles it probably wouldn't have been so disappointing, but it would also be a series that few people would care about. Read more
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz was a solid launch title that would stand up to most third-party games released now, some two years after the title was launched. There are a few reasons for this, the obvious one being that the title is part of a franchise, and therefore has a built in fanbase. The next reason would that SMB was one of the first titles chock full of parties games, but it has much more than that as well, the main game. Read more
Sega has had a strange way of making games that manage to become quite well known in their large library of internally developed games. Super Monkey Ball is one such franchise and it seemed only natural that they make an updated iteration of the game for Nintendo’s new Wii. After some extended playtime with this title I have to say that the game is quite well suited for the Wii’s special capabilities and it is quite enjoyable. Read more
Banana Blitz makes for some great entertainment, alone and with companions. You might not find yourself drawn to playing it for hours on end (ala Zelda) but it will be one of those you go back too often, just to try it again. If you've given up on the series after the car accident we call Super Monkey Ball Adventure, it's time to get back on that horse...ball....whatever. Read more
It ends up not being a total abortion of a game, but Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is really bad overall and isn’t worth your time. It’s very much a launch title, clearly rushed out to release alongside the Wii. The control is shoehorned on, and I wouldn’t even give it the compliment of calling it a tech demo. Read more
If you found great fun and challenge in past Super Monkey Ball games, then Banana Blitz will certainly keep you going for a while with its new set of puzzles and tons of stuff to do on the side. The number of levels this time around is a little light, but it's made up for with at least a dozen good mini-games for you and your friends to try. The controls are very simple and work surprisingly well with the game, but if you simply must use the analog stick to win, Read more
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is a great game to have around for the Wii. It’s one of the better launch titles to come out for the system and helps show some of the versatility of the Wii remote. It does take a bit of hit in value department from the somewhat short single-player game and many of the poorly-done minigames. Read more
Roll on in for the newest installment of your favorite game featuring encapsulated simians, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz! Read more
The most important point from my review is this discovery: to exit a mini-game once you've started, press the + button and hold it down for about a second. We tried all kinds of things to get out of a game once we'd started, but it turns out that they designed it to work using the press-and-hold method, rather than the traditional just-press style. Everyone has played a monkey ball game once in while. Mostly at parties or some gathering. But that is all that it is worth. Parties. Playing by yourself or with one other person is very disipointing. Lets face it, it is party game. Ment for four people or more. The controls are bad(mostly due to the camera). You tilt your controller one way and it goes the other way. This is especially worse in the 1st player mode. The 1st person mode also is pointless and horrible. Read more

I haven't the foggiest idea of why so many people refused to buy this wonderful product. This is a great collection of mini-games. But I guess if you have Mario Party 8, you are going to compare it to that, and I know you'd want to play the Nintendo games more often then this one. Read more
Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz is made by Sega, you can play with up to 4 players, and is suitable for ages & and upwards ( but i think younger players will still be able to enjoy it safely!) THE GAME BACKGROUND The game centres around little monkeys in a bubble like Ball. Use the Wii remote by tilting it left, right, back and forth to direct your monkey through the tracks of different courses. All have different twists and turns! Read more

I picked this game up on a whim a while ago, having never played any of the other Monkey Ball games, and man was I pleasantly surprised! The single player game mode has multiple stages and multiple levels per stage. As expected the stages start off relatively easy - and it's a good thing they do because it takes a little while to master using the wiimote to control your monkey ball. Read more
I bought this game for my 6 year old daughter, when she first tried to play it she found it dificult to control and I thought that she wouldn't want to play it again. How wrong I was, this has become her favourite Wii game and can keep her amused for hours and me too! It's great to have a game that we can play together and enjoy, we find ourselves shouting or laughing when we fall off a ledge, moving bridge, mushroom or whatever we are trying to move over. For true fans then it might be worth it but generally just go for Kororinpa. It’s a fun game but don’t be looking for anything special. It’s a game that was good for a couple of weeks but must now disappear into memory only. Read more
Overall i think the game could be fun, but maybe a difficulty level could have been used. Read more
For the first time in the Super Monkey Ball franchise, AiAi and his friends will have the ability to jump when players flick the Nintendo Wii controller in an upward motion. The ability to jump has given game designers another dimension in which to expand the Super Monkey Ball gameplay experience and allows gamers a whole new way to interact with the franchise; this time in true three-dimensional fashion. The Party Games, for which the Super Monkey Ball franchise is f…
