Summary: Super Metroid is a great addition to any gamer's library. In the past I've played titles like Metroid Fusion and other Metroid games. This feels like a deeper experience from the good old days. It almost feels like playing an RPG. The game has a lot of replay value and hidden power ups and collectables that you can use to your advantage.
Summary: This is still one of the best games I have ever played. I normaly play Call of duty and Gears of war on Xbox and this game still holds my attention. As far as being able to beat this game in an hour, that is a joke. You would have to beat this game at least 10 times to learn everything, or use a cheat book. You would still be missing half the game. It's like beating mario using the warps, it's fun but you're missing the point.
Summary: The game, of course, is a classic that should be played by anyone who likes videogames. It's interesting to see how little hand-holding this does compared to modern games. As a product, this code works fine. I went to the Wii Shop Channel and redeemed the code without issue. I wish more Virtual Console games were available this way.
Summary: Depending on who you ask, the Super Nintendo was the "Golden Age of Gaming." It became that way because so many of the games were highly focused on gameplay. There were, of course, tons that were focused on story (an RPG gambit hit the Super Nintendo and it was huge). But when you saw games that told stories the way Super Metroid did... it was hard not to be impressed.
An excellent game that is worthy of bearing the Metroid name
