Summary: This game has said to have been better than the first, well that's not true. The levels are so much easier than the first and it feels like just about every level is very similar to a level in the first. But there are two elements I like from this: Yoshi and the Green star challenges. My final thoughts are it's an OK game, but not nearly as good as the first.
Excerpt: My boys decided to purchase this game with their gift cards. They like the 3D graphics. They enjoy the different activities in the levels. Downfall is it requires the use of nunchuck so multitasking can be difficult for some ages. My boys are 7 and 9.
Excerpt: We bought this as a gift for my 7-year-old step son who loves anything and everything that has to do with Mario. Some of the levels are actually very difficult, but they are puzzles so I think it's stretching his brain in good ways while sitting on the couch playing video games. It creates good bonding time with Dad, also!
Pros: Challenging, Easy to learn, Fun To Play, Graphics, Kid Appropriate
Summary: This doesn't necessarily trump Galaxy 1 but in some ways, it does. I like the music much more than on galaxy 1 and I think the levels themselves have improved too. I think, though that galaxy 1 has better cutscenes, bowser battles, and I prefer Rosalina's "Dome Observatory" over my "Faceship". That's also true with the world map vs. my preference, the map from galaxy 1.
