Summary: This doesn't necessarily trump Galaxy 1 but in some ways, it does. I like the music much more than on galaxy 1 and I think the levels themselves have improved too. I think, though that galaxy 1 has better cutscenes, bowser battles, and I prefer Rosalina's "Dome Observatory" over my "Faceship".
Summary: Personally, I don't know a whole lot about video games, but my son wanted this game for Christmas last year 2010 (he was 9 years old at the time), he just loved it. He and his friends played it for hours on end. I guess if you're into video games and the whole Mario series, this game is great!
Summary: Ok, actually I have never been fan of Mario Galaxy. For me, the gameplay is very bad and its not a big deal. However, this 2ND game looks cooler because of Yoshi and new power ups, or whatever.
Summary: This is a fun game, and I really liked playing it, but there are things that hold it back. For one thing, after you're done beating this game in its entirety, there's absolutely no reason in the world you would ever go back and play a level again. I mean, maybe, but there's not much of a reason to.
Summary: It's definitely a game worth playing if you're a fan of the genre or series. For hardcore players, it's a little too easy.
Pros: If you like Mario, you will like this game. If you liked Mario Galaxy 1, you'll love 2. It's basically the same game except it's much better. The controls are smoother, the game is more polished, but it's still designed as a kiddy game. Some of it is pretty tough, but so far I haven't gotten to a...
Cons: Childish, sometimes slow, a little too easy although I'm only about halfway through the game so far.
Summary: I have held off on writing this review until I knew that any review I wrote would be fair. After beating all 6 worlds, collecting 92 stars and over 40 comet coins, I'd say I have a pretty firm grip on the game. First of all, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is very, very fun to play.
