Great Potential; bad, bad executiobn

  • Summary: Excellent cartoon -style graphics start you off thinking this is going to be a great game, but this feeling won't last long. I started with badminton and picked my partner based on the description in the manual. She was supposed to be an outstanding badminton player. In a game that we lost 11 to 0, she swung and hit the birdie once and she swung and missed the birdie twice. The rest of the time, she just stood there while the birdie fell at her feet.

not fun IMO

  • Summary: Seems like you're spending more time starting games and choosing characters than playing, and the game isn't fun when you finally start... the original wii sports with boxing, bowling, golf, etc., is much much better, and more fun to play... Pro: it was cheep, Con: we don't play it.

Not what I expected

Amazon Customer, Amazon

  • Summary: I ordered this game because I couldn't find the original Wii Lawn Games, and I am very disappointed in it. First, it makes you play with 4 players, no matter which game you choose, so unless you have enough friends to play, you're playing against the computer, which makes for very slow game play. Second, the games are not very responsive to the Wii remote, so you don't have as much control over your moves as with other games.

Don't buy

  • Summary: This game is slow and the camera angles are terrible. Also, you can not play a single player game with out setting up three CPU players to play against. If you are looking for a good summer sports game I would not recommend trying this one. Stick with DECA Sports.

  • Summary: i got this game hopeing that the vollyball would be fun. i just got it last night and was all excited to play. i put it in the wii set up a profile and thought i was ready to play. i tried to start the game but it said all players not ready. YOU MUST HAVE 2 OR MORE PLAYERS just to play the game. and if that wasnt disapointing enough EACH PLAYER MUST HAVE THEIR OWN REMOE for some of the games.

Disappointment

American Consumer "dpb100", Amazon

  • Summary: Our family loves Wii Sports and hoped that Summer Sports Paradise Island would deliver similar fun and exercise, but we were sadly disappointed. First up was Badminton where the view starts from behind the server, and then switches to a single-screen distant aerial view (or the same camera angle you started at from the serving side) where one feels little involvement in the action and has minimal apparent control over returns.

BAD camera angles, dull play

Layna S, Amazon

  • Summary: This game contains lawn darts, horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, mini-golf, croquet, driveway basketball & beach side basketball. I played w/a friend which helped, but only to laugh at it. Pros: -Good organized menus, choices of length of play & easy-hard level of AI -9 Gorgeous mini golf holes in Aztec, haunted, Congo, Wild west, medieval, area 51, prehistoric themes. if these were real, I'd pay $20 to play a game easily of those 9 holes.
