Reviews and Problems with Summer Sports: Paradise Island

Summary: I tried this game this afternoon, hoping for a relaxing, yet active, Saturday at home. But what I got was frustration with poor controls that are explained poorly at the start of every game, not to mention that it's impossible to win anything against the computer's characters with whom you play.
Summary: We have many Wii games but my daughter really wanted badminton so we purchased this game. As some reviewers have correctly stated, the minute it powers up, you can tell the graphics design is not even close to games like Wii Sports. The biggest frustration was with the poor reaction of the game to a player's moves.
Summary: Well, I hate to write negative reviews, but this game is just not up to par. I am used to the Wii Sports that came with my system as well as Outdoor Challenge and Sports Resort. WOW, what a difference! There is little to challenge you here. Setting up your characters is somewhat difficult and very tedious. It must be done each time you play and does NOT used your saved Mii on the Wii system. The graphics are fair.
Summary: This game was a waste of money and time. Each game was difficult to play. Not because the sports themselves were hard but, because of all the different buttons or motions you had to implement to play them. You had to have 4 players for each game at all times. Therefore if you only had 2 of you then you also had to pick the computer characters and control them as well. The sports to choose from would be great if you could actually play them!
Summary: There are so many great games for the Wii and they have been selling so well that it has attracted less reputable companies to throw together crap as fast as they can in order to get in on the action. This is one of those games. Right when we started playing the poor quality of the menus and navigation were a warning of the bad gameplay that was to come.
Summary: I love Wii Sports and thought this would be a great game with additional sports to enjoy. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that what you did with the controller had virtually nothing to do with what actually happened on the screen. For example, my results in horseshoes were identical whether I actually tried or just did random movements with the controller. Even though I got it at a bargain price, it was a complete waste of money.
Summary: I just got my WII system and I love it. I have tried many games out and have been very happy, but this game is AWFUL!!! On golf you can't control the swing or the speed of the ball and horseshoes I couldn't even get close... Graphics are good but not enough for me to keep the game. I went back to the store and sold it back to them the very next day.
