While the force is with you, fighting with it is too hard.

  • Summary: Parents need to know that while this fast-paced action game really is about war (a word that appears twice in its title), the blasts, bangs, and booms that go on throughout the game are of the sci-fi fantasy kind. And presuming your child is already a Star Wars fan, it's nothing he or she hasn't seen before. Unfortunately, what could have been a fun romp for devotees of the Star Wars franchise, gets bogged down in technical glitches and imprecise controls.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes (Wii) Review

Vooks
29 November 2009
  • Excerpt: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Republic Heroes drags the saga of Star Wars subtitles further into oblivion, with this latest game coming straight from Aussie developer Krome Studios. Set between seasons 1 and 2 of the series, Republic Heroes appeals to Clone Wars fans with heavy use of the lore, but anyone less than a dedicated Star Wars fan will struggle through an incredibly limited and frustrating action adventure game.

Review: Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for Nintendo Wii

Geek.com

  • Excerpt: Out of the entire Lord of the Rings movie trilogy one part always stood out to me as being particularly preposterous. During a major battle scene at the end of The Two Towers Gimli (the dwarf) and Legoloas (the elf) start killing orcs and tallying up the total, as it if was some sort of game.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes

GamePro.com
21 October 2009
  • Excerpt: After putting out those awful prequel movies, Lucas is finally back to form with some fantastic Star Wars related material. Its current cash cow is the highly underrated Clone Wars animated series, a cleverly written and directed show that caters to a younger audience but has enough for adults as well. That's why it's such a shame that the video game spin-off, Republic Heroes, doesn't live up to the high bar set by the terrific show.
  • Pros: It has its moments and younger fans of the animated series may overlook the game's glaring faults but...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes (Wii) Review

G4
7 October 2009
  • Summary: A third-person action game, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes is based on the CGI 'toon that just started its second season on Cartoon Network, with the same great voice cast and recognizable sound effects. But unlike the show, which is clearly designed to be for Star Wars fans of all ages, this game is clearly aimed more at its younger viewers, despite the T-rating.
  • Pros: Is faithful to the show., Fun co-op., Paul Jr. will love it.
  • Cons: Is too easy for older gamers., And too shallow., Clearly, The Force isn't with the camera.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes Review

Nintendo-Online
28 November 2013
  • Summary: Die „Star Wars“-Reihe ist einfach nicht totzukriegen. Nach dem großen Erfolg des ersten Teils im Jahre 1977 wurde die erste Trilogie sechs Jahre später fertiggestellt. Im Mai 1999 wurde schließlich die zweite Trilogie begonnen, die zeitlich gesehen vor der ersten spielt. Um die Geschichte der Klonkriege zwischen der zweiten und dritten Episode näher zu erläutern, wurde schließlich „Clone Wars“ als Serie umgesetzt.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes

WiiG
16 November 2009
  • Conclusion: Man kann in Sachen Star Wars sicher viel streiten.
  • Pros: Netter Multiplayer, Originalsprecher
  • Cons: Spielgewordene Langeweile, Stupides Dauermetzeln, Furchtbares Sprungverhalten, Nervige Zwangstutorials, Hampelanimationen, Ständige Ruckeleien, Null Herausforderung
