Summary: The resellers of this game must be smoking some extremely potent stuff to put the price tag at a range of 73 dollars to the mid thirties. If I recall properly, when Amazon itself had this title in stock, it was $19. From my understanding of this game having played it with friends, it's worth twenty bucks, but not much more. It's no deep r.t.s., just a simple quick strategy game. If you want to buy it, buy it from a local reseller, and only if it's below twenty dollars.
Conclusion: I enjoy playing all types of turn based strategy games and when i heard of a star trek one I had visions of Birth of the Federation style gameplay. This game is completely basic and void of any original thinking. You can play as 1 of 5 different races and within this 1 race you only have the option to build 3 different ships - Galaxy, Intrepid and Defiant - and 3 different buildings - which I cannot name because i was so disgusted with this game that I played it for 10...
Summary: When I bought this game I was expecting like some other reviews I read for it to be an adapted and better version of "birth of the federation" an absolute classic pc game ten years old and I have just finished playing again recently. Star trek conquest unfortunately I doubt I will never play again and will probably trade in even if I just get two pound for it.

Summary: I hate reviewing something with so low a score / rating, but this really isn't Star Trek. You are in command of next to nothing and have such little options in way of development. I felt it took it's lead from the board game Risk and came up with something about half as good. We are in space and the play area is less than that of the aforementioned board game. Ok - you can choose to fight the battles yourself. This is less fun than Asteroids. I didn't like it.
