Summary: This is a simple but great game with a ton of play value. It feels like everything is moving very fast, but the player has control over the car. There are consequences to driving badly, but you aren't blowing up all the time and you don't have to have a perfect race to win, place or show. What I'm trying to say is that for me it was challenging without being frustrating, and it is a lot of fun.
Summary: When I first got this game as a gift, I thought it would be terrible. I was as wrong as I'll ever be. This is honestly one of the best games I've played ever. After about a week or two, or at least until you know the controls, it is an amazing game. The fact that you're both trying to race and not get killed at the same time is phenomenal. This game is worth WAY more than $5.
Summary: If you one of the few people who liked the Speed Racer movie (or speed racer in general), than this is the game for you. This game plays & looks like F-Zero Grand Prix. The graphics looks beautiful. BE WARNED. It's a lot of FLASHING LIGHTS though.
Summary: At a recent family gathering I watched two children (five and ten) fall in love with this game in short order. The car-fu tricks kept the ten-year-old challenged and intrigued. (There are many tricks to gradually learn.) The five-year-old played it like a regular racing game and gradually learned a few basic car-fu tricks to bump competing cars off the track.
Summary: This game was much better than I'd hoped. It doesn't take terribly long to learn how to control the vehicles and you earn new characters/tracks fairly quickly. The graphics are very attractive and the courses are visually pleasing. Go Speed Racer!
Summary: this game is amazing because you can hit people and have them blow up. It is a neat game also b/c you go up to 500 mph. This game is fun for kid gamers and i think anyone who thinks speed racer is awesome
