Excerpt: There are some amazing video games that encourage, uplift, and build up families. On the other hand there are some video games that are on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. The plethora of extreme warnings from the ESRB should be enough to dissuade most of our readers from even renting Soulcalibur Legends on the Nintendo Wii. The WMG agreed to play it, and review this Wii game after quite a lot of prayer.
Conclusion: Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is a respectable sequel to one of the most fun and overlooked games of last console generation. The action is fast and there is always plenty of visual eye candy, be it a carpet bomb or sports car with mounted rocket launcher. The game runs pretty well with only a few graphic and AI glitches. Ugly textures and disappearing debris can be a drag though.
Excerpt: It’s not uncommon to see a major series get a side story specifically created for the Nintendo Wii. With the recent release of Soulcalibur IV for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, the team over at Project Soul also decided that the Wii shouldn’t be without its Soulcalibur action and as such decided to release an exclusive side story designed with the Wii’s motion controls in mind. That game is Soulcalibur Legends.
Conclusion: Nintendo gave us Super Mario Galaxy last month and it was and still is the best game out on the Wii. After that game came out we haven’t had anything that really justifies the systems purchase. Soul Calibur Legends should have been a good game, but it isn’t. If you are a fan of the Soul Calibur series then you may enjoy this.
