Not for the avid skier, but perhaps for the sports fan

Summary: The graphics are crisp and clear, and evoke much of what I love about real life skiing, but the gameplay and controls are not in theme and not interesting to play. It is like creating a formula driving sim that concentrates on the vehicle dynamics instead of on driving. Ski and Shoot is a simulation of the Winter Biathlon, so naturally it is broken into two parts, a cross country skiing simulation and a shooting mini-game.
Summary: I like nearly any video game, my wife is a casual biathlon participant and my daughter LOVES Wii. None of liked this game. The balance board is used, but the only fuction is to steer slightly left or slightly right. The courses do not need any quick response steering or back and forth. You barely use the balance board, and that is to only slightly veer one way or another. The skiing motion is done all with the controller and nunchuck.
Summary: Ski and Shoot is NOT your typical 'run and gun' game; it requires steady nerves, skill, good judgment, quick reactions, and patience. I'm halfway through the 24 event Pro season and just beat my chief rival by 3 seconds by conserving just enough Stamina for a sprint to the finish line. Ski and Shoot is an addicting, fast paced simulation of the Biathalon, a sport combining cross country skiing and target shooting.
Summary: I am a cross country skier so I got this game and I am very happy with it. At first this game is going to be very challenging because you have to upgrade your character during the career. Also you need to develop a strategy on how to use all your power and stamina which takes a while to figure out. If you work it right though, you can start winning races near the end of your first junior cup.
Summary: I could not wait for this game to come out at first, sounded cool to be able to ski and shoot things. Boy was I WRONG! This game stinks, the controls do not work right, you can not get going and the shooting is way off as well and no it is not just me, my daughter and her boyfriend and my husband all tried it as well and they have the same opinion, I used it both with and without the balance board..
