Nintendo's instalment of Silent Hill has wowed fans around the globe.

Excerpt: It's quite surprising how a game franchise can be the influence for numerous films and games. Silent Hill is the exception, since we would expect no less from Team Silent. The first game I played in the franchise was Silent Hill 3 around 4-5 years ago. It still scares me now as it did when I was 14. At that age all I wanted to do was kill monsters. But now replaying the game I've found myself less obsessed with combat, and more obsessed with the puzzles and storyline.
Pros: Everything about the game is fantastic . Graphics and sound are both beautiful . Compelling storyline .
Cons: At the most a couple of graphical bugs but nothing major .
Excerpt: I'd played other Silent Hill games before, but never on the Wii. This one is rather different and takes a bit of a diversion from the original games/storyline. I won't go into this too much, as I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Needless to say, it's still a fantastic game. There are plenty of opportunities to solve puzzles and have a good hunt around, as well as killing creatures.
Pros: Great gameplay, good mix of action and puzzle solving, scary !
Cons: Fighting enemies gets a bit confusing and difficult .
Summary: It's a good game, but not if you paid full price for it. It's a pretty good adventure/horror game and the atmosphere is great. Trouble is the "combat" becomes repetitive very quickly - find a route through a maze whilst avoiding getting caught. If it developed these sequences to introduce some variety I'd rate it much higher.
Summary: The story is ok, the ending is what makes up for the less interesting parts. I have played ALL Silent Hill games and I must say this is easily the worst one. The game consists of two "realities". One is the real world, where you will NEVER encounter anything dangerous. Just solve some rather mundane puzzles (like "turn-the-knob with your wii control") and for some odd reason take pictures of "disturbances" with your handy, only to receive voicemail from people involved...
Excerpt: Hi hi hi there my little drooges, today uncle will spin you a yarn about Silent Hill Shattered Memories or more aptly “re-imagined” (by yours truly); Silent Hill shattered dreams... or less aptly entitled silent fart splattered poo. You don’t have to be Columbo to catch on that I wasn’t exactly enthralled by this “re-imagining” of a classic. I myself am a pretty big silent hill fan, silent hill 2 and 4 do things that a lot of other survival horrors couldn’t dream of.
Pros: Looks pretty, innovative design and interesting with a cool ending .
Cons: Poor gameplay, no replayability, annoying controls, terrible puzzles and in no way scary .
Excerpt: Being a more family orientated console my Wii has always been lacking in some of the more adult themed games. I really wanted a game that would not just entertain me, but also get my pulse racing just like that first time I saw the dogs jump through the windows in the original Resident Evil game.
Pros: A wonderful blend of stunning graphics and incredible sound
Cons: I went through several pairs of pants playing this game .

Summary: I don't normally bother writing reviews, however I'm fed up with seeing top reviews for a game that simply isn't that good. I have played all of the silent hill games; like many I could debate all day whether the 1st or the 2nd game is the best; I love the games, and Silent Hill is the only original PS game I still own.
Summary: You play as the character Harry who has been involved in a car crash and is now looking for his missing daughter. It's not a remake of the original Silent Hill, but rather a re-imagining. Time to time Throughout the game you'll find yourself in a psychologists office and you'll be asked various questions which will alter what you'll see within the game. It's an interesting concept, but doesn't really do any thing significant to the gameplay.
