AMAZING game, with a few let downs

Summary: I've been waiting for the newest installment in the Silent Hill series sense July whe I heard of it. It was positively amazing, but there were a few let downs. The challenge on the game was very good. It wasn't extremely hard but no push over either. The no-combat style really adds to the challenge in that you have to run around dodging the...well the one enemy you encounter in the whole game. Graphics were by far some of the greatest I've seen on the Wii to date.
Summary: While this is definitely not the best game of the Silent Hill series - mainly due to the fact that it can be hard and loses its scare factor - I ended up really enjoying the story and wanting to start all over again!
Summary: This game is definitely not for the average gamer who is used to kill enemies of some sort; it doesn't matter who or what. Why? Because you won't be able to shoot or beat anything for the first time in a Silent Hill game. The only things you can do are run, solve puzzles and have sessions with your psychiatrist. Even if two of those things are fine, the running parts of Shattered Memories are what makes the experience a lot less enjoyable.
Summary: It's a good game, but not if you paid full price for it. It's a pretty good adventure/horror game and the atmosphere is great. Trouble is the "combat" becomes repetitive very quickly - find a route through a maze whilst avoiding getting caught. If it developed these sequences to introduce some variety I'd rate it much higher.
Summary: The story is ok, the ending is what makes up for the less interesting parts. I have played ALL Silent Hill games and I must say this is easily the worst one. The game consists of two "realities". One is the real world, where you will NEVER encounter anything dangerous. Just solve some rather mundane puzzles (like "turn-the-knob with your wii control") and for some odd reason take pictures of "disturbances" with your handy, only to receive voicemail from people involved...

Summary: I don't normally bother writing reviews, however I'm fed up with seeing top reviews for a game that simply isn't that good. I have played all of the silent hill games; like many I could debate all day whether the 1st or the 2nd game is the best; I love the games, and Silent Hill is the only original PS game I still own.
Summary: You play as the character Harry who has been involved in a car crash and is now looking for his missing daughter. It's not a remake of the original Silent Hill, but rather a re-imagining. Time to time Throughout the game you'll find yourself in a psychologists office and you'll be asked various questions which will alter what you'll see within the game. It's an interesting concept, but doesn't really do any thing significant to the gameplay.
