Boring

  • Summary: Maybe I just don't 'get it' but this is one boring game! Also gave me a headache trying to see things with just a virtual torch!

Worth the pain

Aya Reiko, Amazon
21 October 2012
  • Summary: While this is definitely not the best game of the Silent Hill series - mainly due to the fact that it can be hard and loses its scare factor - I ended up really enjoying the story and wanting to start all over again!

Nintendo's instalment of Silent Hill has wowed fans around the globe.

  • Excerpt: It's quite surprising how a game franchise can be the influence for numerous films and games. Silent Hill is the exception, since we would expect no less from Team Silent. The first game I played in the franchise was Silent Hill 3 around 4-5 years ago. It still scares me now as it did when I was 14.
  • Pros: Everything about the game is fantastic .  Graphics and sound are both beautiful .  Compelling storyline .
  • Cons: At the most a couple of graphical bugs but nothing major .

Unique and actually quite scary...

  • Excerpt: I'd played other Silent Hill games before, but never on the Wii. This one is rather different and takes a bit of a diversion from the original games/storyline. I won't go into this too much, as I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Needless to say, it's still a fantastic game.
  • Pros: Great gameplay, good mix of action and puzzle solving, scary !
  • Cons: Fighting enemies gets a bit confusing and difficult .

Be cautious before buying!

Buffyvssatan, Amazon
24 September 2010
  • Summary: This game is definitely not for the average gamer who is used to kill enemies of some sort; it doesn't matter who or what. Why? Because you won't be able to shoot or beat anything for the first time in a Silent Hill game.

Gameplay quickly gets repetitive

Tech-junkie, amazon.co.uk
17 August 2010
  • Summary: It's a good game, but not if you paid full price for it. It's a pretty good adventure/horror game and the atmosphere is great. Trouble is the "combat" becomes repetitive very quickly - find a route through a maze whilst avoiding getting caught.

Survival Horror - Without the Survival or the Horror

D. J. Hogben "Jed", Amazon
30 May 2010
  • Summary: I don't normally bother writing reviews, however I'm fed up with seeing top reviews for a game that simply isn't that good. I have played all of the silent hill games; like many I could debate all day whether the 1st or the 2nd game is the best; I love the games, and Silent Hill is the only original...

Playable

Reviewer, Amazon
30 May 2010
  • Summary: You play as the character Harry who has been involved in a car crash and is now looking for his missing daughter. It's not a remake of the original Silent Hill, but rather a re-imagining.
