  • Summary: Said that game was amazing for shooting but it was not. You just hold a button and bullets shoot from a plane. Son very disappointed - worst Christmas present ever.

Three shmups from Milestone.

jSten, Amazon
6 December 2012
  • Summary: Ultimate Shooting Collection is a collection of three shmup games by developer Milestone from 2004-2006. Milestone games are a bit of an acquired taste, putting gameplay and scoring mechanics ahead of graphical prowess. If you're looking for something to show off your Wii, this may not be the best choice. If you're a shmup fan looking for something outside the standard fare, read on. I didn't have any problems navigating the menus.

Bad Game.

J. Hoag, Amazon
22 April 2012
  • Summary: Overall I would rate this as one of the worst shooting games. It is far from ultimate it doesn't come close comparing with any of the well known shooters. I would say they are the worst shooter games I have ever played, the graphics aren't good, the game play is terrible.

Only Hardcore Shmup Fans Need Apply

Electronaut72 , GameStop

  • Summary: Ultimate Shooting Collection is a compilation of 3 obscure, top-down arcade shooters that were released years ago on the Dreamcast and Gamecube. Included is Chaos Field, Karous, and Radio Allergy. All 3 titles have a Japanese anime aesthetic, but Radio Allergy stands out as being the most original and quirky. If you've ever played Raiden, 1943, or Ikaruga, you know what to expect gameplay-wise.

Hardly 'ultimate', but still a good shmup purchase

cj_iwakura, Amazon

  • Summary: I originally purchased this game just to pick up Radio Allergy; the 'lost' Gamecube game that got cancelled before its US release. The UGS has three games; Radio Allergy(aka Radilgy), Karous, and Chaos Field. While Chaos Field did get a Gamecube release in the US, this is the first appearance for Karous and Radilgy. The highlight of the collection is definitely Radio Allergy.

3 Classic Milestone Dreamcast Ports

StokedRider , GameStop
4 September 2011
  • Summary: Milestone doesn't make the best shoot 'em ups, but it does make some incredibly solid shooters that are well worth playing. In this collection, you'll be getting Radirgy, Karous, and Chaos Field. All 3 of these shooters go for $40-$80 a piece on the Dreamcast, so you're getting quite a value here. Karous is by far the best offering here, as it offers the best gameplay overall. Chaos Field is more of a boss rush, but offers some exceptional music and good visuals.

ehh

  • Summary: If you're hunkering for a "Raiden Fighters" arcade style game, you're SOL if you don't own an Xbox360 or PS3 b/c this game is crap. I bought it pretty dirt cheap but there's a reason for it. I haven't played it in awhile and probably don't plan to anytime soon. From what I recall, there are three games in one. Two of the three are terrible, with one of the modes average.

Not really what is was advertised to be.

William G. Haver "Lawnman", Amazon
23 April 2011
  • Summary: This game was ok, however, it did not work with the rifle or gun attachments for the Wii. The action is stilted versus the actual movement of the player. Could be a Wii thing.
