Summary: I find Shimano Extreme Fishing for to be addictive. What this game offers over other fishing games is the bow fishing and spearfishing modes. The levels are challenging and having to locate specific species of fish requires some strategy. The only drawback is the pole fishing mode doesn't have the sophistication or lure and equipment selection that the Rapala fishing game has. Overall, I am very pleased and would recommend it to fishing game fans everywhere.
Summary: My husband and I received this for Christmas. I never thought I would become addicted to gaming in my mid 50s, but this game has done it!! We love it!! The spearfishing is our favorite and it's such a challenge to build up your chains (number of hits in a row) - it helps your score and brings an additonal challenge. We take our time and search around for the treasure (which adds extra points) and the flashing gold fish - more extra points!
Summary: I ordered this game as a gift for my 11-year-old son. He and his friends played it and loved it. The graphics were good and it was full of action. The fishing isn't realistic because it's too fast-paced, but that's what they love about it.
Summary: The game is easy to jump right into - no need to learn a bunch of new controls. The three options for type of fishing give it a good mix - regular pole/line fishing, bowfishing, and underwater spearfishing. The latter two are GREAT with the 'perfect shot' gun. If you play a long time it can get a little repetitive, but there are different places to go and types of fish to catch/shoot.
Summary: I bought this game based on the reviews of the Bowhunting and Spearfishing and am glad to have it..I had a lot of trouble hitting anything at first but then I started using my Wii Zapper for the Bow and Spear..Lots easier to hit the target..Now my only complaint it that some stages take too long to complete..You drive the boat or swim around for a long time trying to find the last few assigned fish.
