Summary: You are a newly transfered soilder to the star division in New York. Due to your actions you become captain of the team there. This game will be the closest you can get to staring in your own anime. Your responses unlock different scenarios that are followed by usually funny scenes. You get enteract with your team and depending on which responses you choose will build your relationship with the girls which improves thier stats and joint attacks in battle.
Summary: Sakura Wars 5 is an excellent game, both for old players and newcomers. Unlike Tokyo or Paris, the game resets the stage at New York in the 20s. One thing I like about this series is that it injects so much energy into the player that when he or she plays, it totally changes the atmosphere of the room. The characters are all distinguished; and they interact with the player quite well, almost as if they are real people with real concerns in their lives.
Summary: To describe this game it is little bit of a dating sim, meets a role playing game, meets Phoenix Wright(see Nintendo DS), and meets a Japanese Anime. To play this game you have to be patience with it. It starts out very slow(about 20 to 25 min of dialog screens) but most of the scene the characters are talking(it's like watching a cartoon that you interact with).
Summary: Sakura Wars 5 is a port of an older Japanese RPG for the Wii console. It combines elements of a turn-based RPG with a Japanese dating-sim / relationship game (if you aren't familiar with those, basically at certain plot points you make decisions on how to advance the plot, and your decisions affect how other characters in the game behave / interact with you).
Summary: Great game, fab graphics and just a lot of fun. I bought this game for my husband and he has enjoyed it as he does all good rpg games. The characters are interesting and the story line is unique. Set in New York of all places! If you like rpg games and you have not stumbled on this game as of yet, please do so. We are playing this Sakura Wars on the Wii but it is available for a number of the other consoles as well. Great diversion on a hot day... play it and find out.
Summary: Its more about your relationships with the other characters, but this is a great Japanese strategy/dating sim. Im glad they decided to port this to the Wii. The art is wonderful, the characters likable, and the game in entertaining for the most part. Note that action isnt the focus of this game so much as character interaction.
Summary: This is the kind of game that usually would never make it out of Japan. Thankfully it did, and it's awesome. For an Otakus or general Japan lovers who own a wii and are looking for an RPG or dating sim to hold you over? Look no further. Sakura wars offers deep, fun combat along with excellent dating sim elements.
