Rune Factory: Frontier

Rune Factory: Frontier features vivid graphics as well as takes full advantage of the Wii’s controls to immerse players in the Rune Factory universe. The game is developed by Marvel Interactive and published by Xseed and Rising Star. Rune Factory: Frontier takes place after Rune Factory, as Raguna and Mist return from the original game. In Frontier Raguna is on a search to find a missing girl. Frontier takes place on the island of Tranrupia. A floating island in the shape of a whale appears at some point early in the game. Rune Factory: Frontier has a CERO: All ages and ESRB: E10+ rating.

Features

Rune Factory: Frontier incorporates an open-ended structure that allows players to choose the type of game they wish to experience. From growing crops, expanding the town, fighting (or befriending) monsters or even falling in love, the experience is unique to each player. Rune Factory: Frontier features gameplay where the player can grow a farm more similar to the regular Harvest Moon games than in the previous Rune Factory games. The Rune Factory: Frontier also features characters called Rooneys, which are sprite-like creatures that appear as the player work on the land and in the village. They are divided into four elemental types, such as grass, tree, stone, and water. Each of these Rooneys have their own distinctive appearance. As the game progresses, and as the player takes better care of their land, more people will move in, progressing the land to a village, with shops and denizens.
