Summary: Being a keen table tennis player, I find that this game is the best simulation of table tennis currently available across all gaming consoles. It would have been much better had it been enhanced to use MotionPlus.
Summary: This is a good game and I found its very easy to play once you get used to controls. It may improve your table tennis skills but cannot replace it anyway. This game unlike tennis game from Wii sport for two players only.
Summary: As a table tennis enthusiast, I was primarily interested in how well the wii controller captures your movements. It turns out the controls are quite responsive and once you get used to the sharp-shooter or control-freak setup (using the nun-chuck for additional controls) you can produce breathtaking rallies. However, it has very little to do with actual table tennis swings. I was a bit disappointed that you don't control spin with the motion but the directional pad.
Summary: We had lots of fun playing this on Christmas morning!! I gave it a 3 for age suitability because not all children have great hand-eye coordination - otherwise, let the kids have at it! I also purchased the paddles, which enhanced the feel of the play but aren't necessary for a good game.
Summary: I got the chance to play an unfinished build of Rockstar's Table Tennis for the Wii at PAX. The control setting I played on was very nuanced, almost to a fault. I say this because at first the controls appeared to be broken; it was only after some time with them that the true depth became apparent. Serving was tricky at first - you swing your arm while pressing "A" to initiate the serve and then you must swing again in time with a meter to complete the serve.
Summary: this game is good fun, will make you sweat if you move about with the character. I like how you use the wii remote to swing but it isn't even accurate, you need to hold direction buttons to send it where you want it to go
Summary: I am a huge fan of the Nintendo Wii, and have a passion for the more competitive, ball sports games that Wii have out there. I was therefore thrilled to discover Wii Table Tennis whilst doing an Amazon search, not that long ago. Thus far Wii Sports Resort had met my Table Tennis needs, and whilst undoubtedly a fun game, I get a little tired of the characters, and their stupid inane faces!!! I am happy to say that Wii Table Tennis has not disappointed me.
