Family Table Tennis Review

Cheat Code Central
26 September 2008
  • Conclusion: That said, it's still fun for the more hardcore gamers out there, and it's a great way to get non-gamers into video games. Essentially, Family Table Tennis is a cheap, enjoyable multiplayer game -- if that's what you're looking for, then this is a title you should definitely think about downloading.

Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis (Wii) Review

Cubed³
5 January 2008
  • Summary: From the very first unveiling of Wii, all and sundry cried out for a version of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto. However, realists stated that if anything were to be forthcoming from the developer, Table Tennis would be most suited to the motion controls of the system.

  • Excerpt: So it all comes down to the controls, I mean, that's what the Wii is all about. And while none of the 3 control methods provide a 1 to 1 mapping of paddle to Wii-mote, they all do work fairly well. The standard mode is a bit like Wii-Tennis with control of your character taken over by the computer.

Expert Review

Official Nintendo Magazine
3 January 2008
  • Excerpt: We'll admit it, not every developer seems to have worked out how to use the Wii Remote effectively. Between unnecessarily frantic arm-waving and badly implemented tilting, there are some shabby examples of how not to use the Wii Remote, so it's no surprise that we approached this with some...

Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis Review (WII)

Yet Another Review Site
11 December 2007
  • Excerpt: Rockstar bring sports perfection to the Wii Rockstar, a name sometimes whispered in reverence when gamers talk about publishers. Since the release of Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar have not produced a duff game.
  • Pros: Sublime controls, gameplay still intact from 360 version, great fun.
  • Cons: The AI of one certain player is still set too high (as it was on the 360), your right arm aches after too much play and graphics are poor compared to 360 version
