Summary: I'm a little behind with Rock Band(I'm a GH fanatic) and just purchased this game, but so far I really like it and couldn't put it down. Warning, It's very addictive and will take up valuable sleep time. In comparison to GH I actually like the music better so far and have found that there is less metal.
Summary: The kids really love the music of the Beatles and play this a lot. Personally, I think the graphics could be a little better, but the kids don't seem to notice. I am sure Wii will improve the graphics within the next few years. Some, like Wii Sports Resort, are pretty good already.
A Wonderful Improvment over the Series... Especially for the Wii

Summary: The original Rock Band for Wii came as somewhat of a disappointment for music game lovers. You could rock out with friends yes, but the lack of the other fun options that set Rock Band apart from Guitar Hero (custom character creation being the most obvious deletion) brought down the game. Rock Band 2 is exactly the same on Wii as it is on any other system, custom character creation and all included.
Summary: We love this. We had Guitar Hero World Tour but it just wasn't as much fun. The drums were way too hard. None of us could do them well. This works with the same instruments - guitar, microphone, bass; but the drums are not the same layout. Got a set of wireless Rock Band drums and they work great. We have a lot of fun playing this a family and the kids' friends love it too!
Summary: The provided (and required) USB hub is the wireless transmitter (dongle) that comes with the guitar in Wii Rock Band 2 Special Editiion. You don't need to buy a hub to play all three instruments that come with the game. It is provided. But, despite coming with three different manuals, the game's documentation never mentions how to physically setup the complete game. There is a game manual, a guitar manual and a drum manual.
Summary: I don't like Rock Band 2 as much as Rock Band 1. I've been playing the first Rock Band since it came out and finally got so sick of the same songs, went out and got Rock Band 2. It is really nice to have a change of pace and some fresh music to play, but I am quite on the fence about RB2. Pros: 1) Customizable Characters - I was suprised to find how much I like this feature.
Summary: Rock Band 2 is great for Wii. While the graphics are not as good as they are for the HD versions, the game still has all of the other features. Downloadable content is available and can be played from an SD card. I used Guitar Hero controllers (100% compatible) so I can't tell you how the RB controllers are. My only complaint is that there are limited options when it comes to creating/editing band members and logos.
