Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles improves on 2007's first Resident Evil on-rails shooter The Umbrella Chronicles in every way. RE fans will love returning to old haunts, collecting hundreds of archive items and blasting familiar foes, provided that the camerawork doesn't make them queasy. Read more

The Darkside Chronicles is a mindless blast-a-thon. It lacks the sophistication of the recent Dead Space: Extraction, but it more than makes up for it by bewitching you with nostalgia. It's just great fun. Newcomers may find its frustrations too much to bare, but for those whom the words HUNK, Tofu (complete the game for a pleasant surprise) and T-Virus rekindle memories of heady summers spent battling the evil Umbrella corporation and running past giant spiders, The... Hearing about another light-gun game for Wii isn’t always the most exciting news. While the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles get endless streams of AAA titles from the canons of their favorite franchises, most Wii owners are left with quick cash-ins and side stories. With the success of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, it is, therefore, no surprise to see Capcom churn out another on-rails shooter in hopes of satiating fans. Is this latest entry into the venerated saga... Read more

If you're looking to take nostaglic trips through locales like the Raccoon City Police Department and the Ashford family mansion, The Darkside Chronicles has you covered. Even the new South American scenario appears crafted primarily to cater to series aficianados. This is not to say that extensive knowledge of the Resident Evil universe is required to jump into the adventure, but the motion-sickness-inducing camera and inconsistent gameplay are huge hurdles to overcome... I have good memories of both Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica. They were two games in the series that were built around the lumbering zombie as opposed to the faster and more intelligent breed that is the modern living dead. Following on from the trend set by Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, The Darkside Chronicles is a combination of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica, as well as the events leading up to Resident Evil 4. To those who don't know anything about Resident Evil series, this game has selected scenarios from Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil:Code Veronica except this is a first person rail shooter instead of a third person survival horror. So the point I am trying to make is THIS GAME CAN NEVER SUBSTITUTE THE EXPERIENCE YOU CAN GET FROM ORIGINAL TITLES. Now saying that, this game is awesome because -It is a rail shooter allowing you to experience from first person perspective... Read more or see product

I highly recommend a zapper (the pistol kind) and don't worry about using a nunchuk, its not necessary. I'd say the graphics are good, keeping in mind this is a game for the Wii, and not the PS3. Read more
