Do not buy if you want to play in Widescreen. BEWARE Wii, WiiU owners

Summary: I got rid of my Wii, and my Gamecube so I of course wanted to replay this game on WiiU. There is no Widescreen option in this game. I'm left with HUGE bars on the left and right of the screen. It seems Capcom did not care enough to add it into this "remake". Bullcrap. I should have done research. I will still probably play it of course but it looks bad.
Summary: I should have listened to the reviews. I recently started playing the resident evil games so I didn't know what people really meant when they said it was like the first game. After playing the more recent games then playing this one. It is so basic and boring and completely ridiculous to maneuver your character that I gave up trying to play and haven't touched it again.
Summary: I was very excited to receive this game for Christmas but was greatly disappointed when I played it. The controls are difficult and camera angles are annoying. I tried killing the zombies several times before it became clear that that just wasn't possible in this game! What's the point of a 'zombie game' if you can't kill any if them?
Summary: After so many years of hearing how Resident Evil was so awesome, remembering how my younger brother loved it when it first came out, and loving the previews for the newer games, I decided to get into the Resident Evil series. I started with the original PlayStation game, picking up the Director's Cut, plus Resident Evil 2 and 3. The horrible dub and graphics of the first game, and the overall boringness of the game left it unfinished.
Summary: I liked Res Evil 4 and got this one and I just don't like it. I mailed it to my sister because I disliked it so much. I DID like that you could choose to be a female character but I have the same complaints as others (and THOUGHT I could get passed) about the controls. I like the character to be right in front of me and I am shooting from behind it. I don't like watching my character from a distance. Just preference.
Summary: I am a HUGE fan of the RE series and i heard how the way you move and stuff is weird but i thought it's not that bad so i went and got it. THE MOVING RUINED THIS GAME FOR ME. No matter where the camera is up is up and left is left and down is down and right is right. I have problems going anywhere. It's a stupid game. The only people that would like this game is some of video games first players. Anyone that plays games later than the 2000's would not like this game.
Summary: Well I 1st bought wii to increase my activity level ;) ...then I bought Resident Evil 4 and put that far behind me. I had such high hopes that even though this was a new spin on the original it would incorporate those things that I loved with RE4. Like others have mentioned though the wii remote really does not come into play here. It took awhile for me to get comfortable with the controls vs. RE4 feeling quite natural.
Summary: I didn't really like this game. The graphics are fine and the controls are easy enough but I just couldn't get on with it. I've enjoyed HOTD: Overkill and Dead Rising, Chop till you drop on the wii and was hoping for something similar but this wasn't it. Have now resold the game.
Resident Evil is the same great game it was...identical in fact..

Excerpt: "Resident Evil Archives is a repackaged Gamecube game that was itself a completely remade version of the original Resident Evil for the Sony Playstation. Yes, I know…it sounds like a poor attempt by Capcom to cash in on the Wii’s success by releasing it to a wider audience to generate sales. But do not despair, the Gamecube game was one of the best games of its generation, it may of only sold moderately well (just over one and a quarter million) but ...
Pros: Same great plot, gameplay, graphics and music .
Cons: Identical and for twice the price because it is on one disc .
Summary: Das Spiel ist O.K.
