DO NOT BUY!
a person who hates this game , GameStop
3 July 2009
Summary: This Game is extremly hard and long if you like re 4 or re 5 you definitly wont like this. The whole game is different every single time you enter a room the camera changes also theres NO MERCANTS! I bought this 2 days ago and i hate it you need ribbons to save (theres only like 9 in the game). you have to find guns and ammo ect. because you dont know were they are (the color cirlces around things).
Summary: ok ok ok - i guess i was spoilt with RE 4 for the wii. perfect POV, cam angles etc..scenery etc.... in this crap RE game, - the POV is still how i prefer, wehre you get to guide your character around a mansion...BUT...the cam angles are so frustrating. example- u alk into a room and the angle will change or, if youre approaching another part of a room, the camera will change. it gets confusing. also you cant point and aim.
Summary: Gave up on this game after half an hour. The intro is long and tedious, the controls are ridiculously awkward. I got as far as the first room of the mansion and virtually, that was it. No clue as to where the ink ribbon was or why I needed it, complete nonsense. A waste of my time and money. I'm selling it on as soon as I can, pity I can't give it zero stars.
Summary: The game is fantastic, that is why I bought it but I would assume that porting a game that is over 10 years old, there would be some enhanchments to the original.............BUT NO!!! So I dug out my Game Cube copy which plays on the Wii of course and guess what, exactly the same game so a waste of money for me!!!
Summary: i bought this thinking that it would be great but it wasnt, you cannot aim with the wii remote like in resident evil 4(wii)which was very disappointing, so there is no point in buying it just get the gamecube version ,there is no widescreen option like the gamecube version, plus the gamecube controller is much more comfortable, i dont realy know why they bothered to make this version for the wii when it is excactly the same as the gamecube version which is cheaper.
Summary: Now look: this is a great game, no question about that. Far superior to the original Playstation version - better graphics and controls, longer, more areas, the puzzles are tweaked, etc. BUT...the same all applies to the Gamecube version, which I picked up for £4 and which I can play with my Gamecube controller. Why bother with this version? A control system optimised for the Wiimote & Nunchuk? The Gamecube controller is far better and more natural.
Summary: THIS IS A CLASSIC GAME ON THE GAMECUBE VERSION, BUT DON'T BUY WII VERSION AS THERE IS NO WIDE SCREEN OPTION. THIS IS REALLY BAD AS EVEN THE CUBE VERSION FILLED THE WHOLE TV SCREEN. DON'T BUY LIKE I DID. I LOVE EVERY RESIDENT EVIL GAME APART FROM THIS ONE.
Conclusion: this game was great on the ps1, when re released on wii i thought it would be even better, i expected the wii controls to be intergrated into the game play, how wrong was i! i kind of hoped this would of had more of a res4 feel, i was utterly disappointed! and will not be buyin the future archive res evil games, keep the memories of the origional as that origional very poor re release origional would be 5 stars sadly this has put the rating way down, please just buy...
