Pretty Boring

Megan, Amazon
28 October 2013
  • Summary: This game was way too easy and pretty boring for my kindergartner. Not sure I would even be interesting in the 1st grade etc...graphics weren't that great either.

too easy

D. Cooke "online shopper", Amazon
12 February 2013
  • Summary: Too easy for my preschoolers to play. I consider my kids of average ability and this was too easy. Maybe good for kids who are not in preschool and already taught letters and sounds.

Boring

Joseph M. Baltrus, Ph.D. "Balthazar", Amazon
8 February 2013
  • Summary: Too much wait time for a 5 year old to deal with. Verbal explanation of games not so good nor are the purpose. Glad I got it at the library and didn't pay for it. It's too bad, video games are the one thing that keeps my hyperactive child focused and attentive.

Better to play on the computer

RR Fan, Amazon
8 September 2012
  • Summary: I have always been a big fan of Reader Rabbit and I was excited to find something educational for the Wii. Problem was that it is hard to navigate the game and the Wii control was difficult for my daughter because you have to be exact. She spent more energy trying to click on her target than finding the correct answer. My biggest issue was the level of play settings. My daughter is in Kindergarten so you can set that up which is great.

Too much talking

Momof2, Amazon
26 May 2012
  • Summary: Receved from Amazon a few days ago. It's almost as if my 4 & 6 year old tolerate this game for the sake of not hurting mom's feelings. I am encouraging them to think of it as a interactive cartoon. They are big fans of Mario bros & wii sports, it would be great to be able to find a wii educational game that was faster paced and more engaging for the kiddos. This one "talks a lot", lots of story line and the kids lose interest.

Is good for practicing skills, not learning them

Kathryn L. Mathis "Kathryn Mathis", Amazon
22 February 2012
  • Summary: Our 5 1/2 year old is struggling with reading due to an Auditory Processing Disorder, so we were trying to create more fun opportunities to learn the reading skills in addition to the typical work we were already doing with her. We thought this game would be ideal for that and she was very excited to play it. Once we started though, we were all pretty disappointed.

mixed results

Fatherandson , GameStop

  • Summary: It has some good learning lessons, but we had to do the navigation for both our 4&5 yr olds. The 2nd grade version was easier to nav. They both lost interest quickly in a couple sections because of the very slow tempo and navigation difficulty. I do think its useful, as there are plenty of good sections that kept them busy. Will be spending more time to give it a fair chance. However can't get them away from the other version. Would buy from this company again.
