Summary: I owned this game for about a week before I figured out how to cast. First, place your thumb on the analog stick on the nunchuck and push it in the "up" direction. Then, move the Wiimote into a vertical position and "cast" it forward, as soon as the Wiimote reaches a horizontal position, release the nunchuck analog stick. You can adjust the distance you cast by holding the Wiimote at varying degrees between horizontal and vertical. Hope this helps!
Summary: Game does not work, does everything but fish. This was a gift for my grandson, he is disappointed that we can't get it to cast. The boat goes, the fisherman walks back and forth, you can choose lures, lakes, everything...but it just won't cast.
Summary: First of all, I only purchased the version without the rod/reel so I cannot attest to how sturdy it is. Although the instruction booklet may not tell you precisely how to cast, there is an in-game tutorial that tells you exactly how to do it so I'm not sure why some customers are having a hard time learning how to cast. My biggest complaint is trying to do the combos.
Summary: I bought this thinking that it would be cool with the reel controler that it would be pretty cool. I was way wrong. After about an hour of just trying to fighure our how to cast I never was able to get my line in the water. The instructions are about 3 pages, none of which tells you how to actually play the game.
Summary: I bought this game for my dad for Father's Day. He really liked. However, he's in his 60s and is not a hard-core gamer. He's not even a soft-core gamer. But in real life, he's one hell of a fisherman. Fishing games are all kind of boring and lame just by the nature of what they are. If you don't like fishing and / or don't like fishing games, then you will not like this game.
Summary: I'm an avid fisherman and I was looking forward to playing this game during the winter months when 'cabin fever' sets in to appease my desire to be on the water. The experiences offered by this game fell short of my expectations, however. I'm pretty experienced with video games, but trying to get this game to acknowledge a cast left me very frustrated. Thinking I originally had a defective game, I actually had to go on-line to find out how to do it!
