It has been over twenty years since Punch-Out first made its console debut on the NES, and over fifteen years since we last saw the series on the SNES. Just when you may have thought this franchise was down for the count, Nintendo has brought Little Mac and the gang out of retirement in Punch-Out!! , for the Nintendo Wii. Read more
- Addictive game play with precise NES style controls; Terrific graphics for a Wii title.
- Motion controls / balance board support not up to par; The game may be too similar to the NES version for some gamers.

There is no denying the significance of the Punch-Out franchise in video game history. First released on the NES in 1987, the original Punch-Out blew gamers away with its colorful cast of characters, addictive gameplay and challenging pattern recognition.
- It's Punch-Out again., Best graphics you will see on the Wii., Game is extremely challenging.
- Opponent selection is pretty small., No online capabilities = bummer., You will want to punch Disco Kid for real.

Never playing the original Punch-Out released over 20 years ago, I had a very vague idea of what to expect when playing its new sequel for Wii. All I did know is that you are a boxer called Little Mac trying to rise to the top with his coach Doc Louis helping him out. As you get master your moves you move through the ranks, dodging and counter-attacking opponents’ timed attacks so you could KO them, and eventually becoming the World Champion. Read more

- Only one new character, Game can be quite punishing at some points, No online interaction

If you've been waiting most of your life for a visually upgraded Punch-Out!! that plays just as you remember it from the NES and SNES, your dreams have been answered. This is exactly that. Read more

The whole forms a pleasing game, people that enjoyed the old games will certainly be happy with the retro feeling. Those that haven't played the originals will be surprised by the depth of the gameplay and the strongly rising difficulty degree. For younger kids this may be a bit too difficult despite the funny looks. Getting to know your opponents takes time and patience of an angel but the reward is all the more when you see him on the floor with his face down. Read more

OK, let’s hold our collective breath for a second, and pretend we always intended to play the Wii as if it were an NES. Here goes: “Yes! Nintendo has proven that they still know how to produce a great game! Punch-Out!! is a lot of fun just like its predecessor! For those of you old enough to remember the 80's, the era will bring back fond memories of some of gamings greatest triumphs. The NES was, at the time, the height of technology and so many iconic games were born. These, we will always remember but others we are reminded of later in life when we think, 'Oh yeah, I remember that game - That was quality!' Punch Out definitely falls into this category. Read more

Are you gamer enough for this brutal sequel to a classic franchise? Punch-Out is a sequel of the popular series that was originally released in the arcades and then released on the NES and Super NES systems. I remember playing Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out as a kid and I always enjoy trying out the sequels of games to see if they include any new and improved features. Read more
