Where's The Party At?

Cheat Code Central
22 May 2008
  • Conclusion: In small doses, Pool Party is capable of providing some entertainment, but marathon single-player sessions just seem pointless. Playing against another human opponent is the better way to go, and it extends the playability significantly. If you don't have a pool table and are dying for a quick fix, then Pool Party is worth checking out. In the end, however, you're probably better off kicking back a pint and racking it up at the local watering hole.

Pool Party

ME Gamers
24 February 2008
  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is Nintendo Wii is the perfect environment to host the virtual counterpart of the games in which you can imitate the same movements with your Wii remote and see the results on the screen. What better than a game of pool to have with easy to understand and hard to master techniques of 3 simple things: A cue, a ball and a pool table?

Pool Party Review

GameSpot
21 September 2007
  • Excerpt: The game of pool is fundamentally simple. Use a stick to hit a ball into other balls to make those balls fall into holes. It is a game played casually and competitively, in bars, basements, and pool halls. Pool Party presents a version of this popular table game that does a reasonable job of capturing the technical elements of pool while failing dismally to present these elements in an appealing way.
  • Pros: Technical tuning allows for nasty trick shots, Good selection of pool games
  • Cons: Technical tuning allows for easy misfires, Large, useless images obscure the table, Sound is maddening

Review: Pool Party

N-Europe
24 August 2008
  • Conclusion: It was a game no-one noticed because no-one should notice this. Ever. Don't bother looking at it never mind buying or renting it.
  • Pros: Makes you appreciate Wii Play a bit more
  • Cons: Incredibly generic and boring, Bad ball physics, Bad A.I levels, You'll barely play it

Pool Party

Tom's Games
17 March 2014

Review: "Pool Party" (WII)

gamingxp.com
14 September 2008
