Our House Party Review

Beth N., Amazon
9 July 2011
  • Summary: This game was okay. The characters are fun. I enjoyed some of the mini games, the others have potential. It was very annoying to receive directions for every mini game, even the ones you play often. It wastes a lot of time. It also took a while to understand how to play and win some of the games. If this game was cleaned up a bit, it would be a lot more fun.

Good if you like mini games

Brooklyn, Amazon

  • Summary: This game is fun for someone that likes mini games. It's a good game to play in a group. You play to build you haouse better than the others on the block. I wish you'd be about to pick who you want to decorate it but all it in it's a fun game again only if you like mini games because that's all it really is.

  • Summary: When I bought this game I thought it would be more about earning money to redecorate your house, but that really isn't the case. Its a fun game but its really just a lot of mini games where you are up against 3 other people and who ever comes in last gets a messed up room makeover and the first place person gets the best room makeover. You don't have choices like which furniture you like and so on...

Not what I thought it was going to be...

  • Summary: First of all, I received this game from my best friend as a birthday present and was also one of my first games. She judged the game by its cover and thought it was going to be like a "Sims" game and build houses that are run down by going to the store (I love remodeling and decorating games). Well it is not. If you are a person who likes "party" games and has a family with small children then this game may be for you.

  • Summary: I don't know why other reviewers are having such a hard time with this game. A little bit of practice and patience and it's a great game. I can play for hours. I now have my husband and 15 year old daughter hooked on it, too.

  • Summary: After playing a few times, game gets semi-enjoyable. Was ready to get rid of it after the first time playing though. Hard to play and win - which is disheartening for a supposedly "fun" game like this. Couldn't find an option to NOT play against the computer and computer seemed to win A LOT of the time, which is frustrating. There is also a lot of time in between games loading and reading irrelevant game dialogue - which gets annoying.

  • Summary: I got this game thinking it would be fun to renovate and pick out items for the renovation by working and earning money but boy was I wrong this is boring. All you are doing is competing and rarely ever do well against the computer and there is nothing fun about this game at all. Don't waste your time or money it is really stupid.

Snoozeville

  • Summary: This game is quite a bit different than the description. It is very slow moving and it's my first Wii game that I regret having purchased.
