Summary: Overall, the game is fun and can be played time and again. On ice action is fairly realistic and franchise mode is a load of fun. However, there are some faults. The main one being freezing issues. I was six wins away from winning my second straight cup in franchise mode when the game froze and I couldn't continue play. After some research I learned this has happened with other players.
Summary: My 10-year old son has this game and this is his review: "This game is very fun in 'Quick Game' mode, especially with a friend. The bad part is that you can only play about 5 to 7 games in 'Season' mode after buying the game, and then the game starts to crash every time you select 'Start Game' in Season mode. I recommend buying NHL 2k10. I'd rate this game 3 1/2 stars.
Summary: I bought this for my husband. He loved it. He sometimes likes to play a game, but he also loves to set the game into franchise mode, so he can watch two teams play. This is a great purchase if you know someone who loves hockey!!!!!
Summary: We are hugh hockey fans, so when this game came out for the Wii system, we had to get it. It is a lot of fun to play and is very easy to learn. This is my sons favorite game to play and he plays it everyday. I totally recommed it for all hockey fans.
Summary: NHL 2k9 for the wii isn't anything I expected The graphics are horrible all of the players look exactly the same and if there is a white player such as Marion Gaborik or something he looks black. Another thing is I get so sick of it because to pass you half to swing the wii remote and your arm gets so tired. Franchise mode is pretty bad not anything special about it. So overall don't waste your money for this piece of trash basically.
