Summary: This is the first NHL game I have played for Wii and it is a lot of fun. The action is fast-paced and there is much more action than in a true NHL game. The controls are fairly easy to master and the announcer commentary is entertaining. Still haven't been able to figure out how to switch goalies which would be my only complaint about the game. The graphics are good, the game play is realistic and you have a wonderful variety of teams and uniforms to choose from.
Summary: Fun game, could be easier to do trades. Gets irritating while trying to find players, do trades etc. Would be nice if they added content such as staying up to date with trades in the league etc.
Summary: the only annoying thing about the game is how long it takes to start playing each time, lots of steps to get through. Past that it is fun. My wife forgets its a wii game and thinks I am watching a game on tv it sounds so real. came quickly and well packaged.
Summary: This game is like NHL 2K10 in nearly every way except game play which is been greatly improved. Scoring is much more difficult compared to NHL 2K10 and no longer is every break away an automatic goal. Unlike NHL 11 on the PS3 (which I own and is a good game), there are no automatic moves that ALWAYS result in scoring a goal. Those who have played it know what I am talking about. At $50 this game would not be worth the upgrade but at $30 new and $20 used it is.
Summary: So overall the game is pretty fun. But if your not really hardcore at hockey you will have to turn fouls off. I extremely recommend using Classic Controller Pro. Without the classic controller, checks can be quite challenging. Graphics, so there ok. If you are using a television say 32" or smaller graphics are pretty good. If your like me and your television is around 47" than really blurry because of stretched out graphics. I would give this game a 7 out of 10.
