Summary: This game is much better then NHL 2K9 in the first real hockey game for the Wii, but because it is made by 2Ksports it still sucks. The graphics are poor as usual with any game 2K tries and fails at. There is very little change from 2K9 besides the addition of the use of the motion plus, which does make it better at times. The motion plus does add some challenge initially before you figure it out, but after that it is like almost every other 2K game with no challenge.
Summary: Personally, there is no notable changes to this game from NHL 2K9. It was still a bad game because it is made by 2K sports and it is on the Wii. You are better off getting any hockey game made by EA Sports for another system. If you only have a Wii and you want a hockey game it is fun. For some reason i found NHL 2K9 more enjoyable and that the controls were easier.
Summary: I intially intended to just rent this game to try it out. However, when I got to the store and discovered it wasn't available to rent, I broke down and bought it. ((COLOSSAL MISTAKE))!!!! The Wii already has an ugly history in hockey games starting with NHL2K9. The largest, completely unforgiveable flaw was its franchise mode which was completely USELESS.
Summary: I really hate this game. I have had it since it first came out and I still cant score one goal when I am the all stars and I play a bad team. I recommend NHL 10 or NHL 9 because you have way better control on those. dont get this game if you are not good at actually playing hockey, but even if you are, dont get it. it stinks. Maybe its just me and I am a bad player of the game, but if it is not, dont think about wasting your money on this.
Summary: This game really stinks. It's too complex and frustrating. Maybe if I was 15 I could do this, but this long-time hockey fan has given up. I'm selling it and looking for something a lot more doable. Mario Brothers, anyone?
Summary: This game is fun to play if you can get it to do what you want. It only allowed me to pick the opponent's team rather than my own, impossible to quit go into training and any other menu option to the point where I had to walk away so I wouldn't snap the disc in half out of frustration. The graphics are crap comparative to other good sports games for wii, I would never recommend anyone to buy this.
Summary: I was really excited about this game when I got it, but sadly I was really let down. This game basically sucks, the defensive controls are terrible, graphics are mediocre, and it may be just my game but I came across a few glitches. The easiest possible level of gameplay is extremely difficult and the goalies move out way past the crease and usually are reluctant to get back in. This game's only plus may be that it is kind of fun to play two-player.
