Control issues banged together with tough level designs doesn't go well, which is a shame because the game is presented beautifully.

Summary: I've been a fan of Super Mario games since the 1990's and until I played this game I had loved every Mario platformer I've played with the exception of Super Mario Bros 2. The main problem I have with this game is it's controls are slow to respond which feels unlike a Mario game because every other Mario platformer I've played have had fast-to-respond controls.
Summary: This game is highly overrated. Its not only been done many times in the mario series, but really when you look at it, the only truly new thing is the fact that you can play with 4 ppl. It was a selling point for me. Big mistake. Once beaten, the game offers no real incentive to keep playing. Sure there're the star coins, but are they really worth it? Also, 4 player is actually quite hectic. On top of that, I'm seeing everyone vote 10 on the graphics and animation.
Summary: Ok, I'm a big fan from the Mario Bros. series and was expecting this game since its announcement. It was fun to play it but then realize that it was the same game with new graphics... then the fun went out... sorry Nintendo, maybe you get the new boys to like the game, but the old fans need to be impressed again... yeah, yeah, four players at the same time, new graphics, blah, blah... not impressed, maybe I expect tooooooo much!!!
Summary: A really good game and the pack was an excellent value. Only issue is, this game is a major throwback to earlier mario games, which, pro: is alot of fun with some new twists, con: is kinda sad the graphics weren't tweaked anyway, just to bring it up to the next generation, still, Mario Galaxy does a good job of that, if graphics is your major focus in games.
Summary: New Super Mario Bros. is good, but in a way, a dissapointament. New Super Mario Bros. is a cool platforming title which relives the classics. I would like to point out a few flaws however. New Super Mario Bros. uses the touch screen terribly. It has almost no purpose which completely defeats the purpose of the DS. You could easily program it so you wouldn't have to use the touch screen. You might as well make NSMB another overused storyline game for some other console.
