Summary: We bought this for Christmas. I agree with the reviews on here, so really nothing new to add. The original is better, yes, for the most part. I think this has a little more substance to it. I think a Carnival 3, if they listened to user input would be great. It's too easy to unlock 'stuff' on here. The games are just different versions of the same old/same old. If you don't own the first one, you won't be disappointed. If you do, don't bother with this one.
Summary: I used to own the original carnival games wii a while back and i remembered it being great fun to play in a group. As a result i decided to try out the new carnival game. For the price it seemed like a bargain, 30+ games at a price cheaper than a lot of wii games out there. The fact it uses motion plus was a bonus, leading me to believe the games would perhaps move away from the usual repetitive wii remote movements.
Summary: I bought this on the basis of the previous positive reviews and as a gift for a fan of multi-player Wii games. It is decidedly average in quality. The games are very similar and often involve little more than shaking the Wiimote at the right time. Very little skill is involved in any of the games and in general you can get the same score/ranking/whatever time after time.
