Not as good as others
10 November 2013
Summary: This game was not as good as the other NFS in my opinion. I felt like the quality was a little lower and there were some things that I really did not like. I felt like the story line was not well laid out and you spent most of the times outrunning the police with no real mission.
Summary: This is a good, solid, enjoyable game for wii that follows nicely in the footsteps of its predecessors. Compared to NFS Carbon, the graphics in undercover are slightly better and the handling of the cars improved. What's lacking is the story line and depth to the different races which it seems they did not put as much time and thought into as they could have. Either way, this is a solid racing game for the wii that you will enjoy, but not quite love.
Excerpt: Only buy titles like Need For Speed and their racing ilk if you have the sort of memory that allows you to learn every twist and turn of the road in the order they appear so that you can drive predictively and so keep ahead of the pack. If you can't do this and you have to react to each change of direction as it appears before you, then you have no hope of ever winning a race in which case you will not be able to progress through the game, winning races and money,...
Pros: Plenty of fun to be had if you can learn to 'read' tracks
Cons: No good at all if you don't have the trick of memory that allows you to leann each track
NFS: undercover is lots of fun and pretty addictive.

Excerpt: Before I start pointing out the good and the bad, I would just like to say that I only had this game for a week and in that time made it 57% of the way through the story mode. Besides the story mode, it also has a challenge mode which I will cover later in the review. ************** GENERAL: NFS: undercover for the Wii has a couple of control schemes which can be used. The best of which (in my opinion) is simply the Wii-mote, unless of course you have the Wii-wheel.
Pros: Fun and working control scheme, large range of customisable cars, largest free - roaming world yet .
Cons: Graphics for helicopters are appallingly bad, can sometimes take a LONG time to escape police .
Need for speed: Undercove. No need for speed in buying this game!

Excerpt: You are a criminal in a world of illegal street racing and crime! The aim of the game is to gain respect from other criminals aswell as your place in the criminal world through completing tasks, getting more and more involved in the criminal underworld. From start to finish you are bombarded with live action scenes which depict the story line for your next venture.
Pros: Good story line . Good use of the wii controller . Great sound effects and audio .
Summary: When nfs undercover came out i got for christmas and couldn't wait to play it. I played through carrer and got quite far but when i bought the Konninsegg ccx i noticed that the speedo said '265mph' Very unrealistic. the carrer is fairly short and the challenge series are ok but some of them are too hard so you have to switch the difficulty to easy. I also have been told there is online on the ps3 version but not on the wii, only multiplayer.
Summary: This game works for some and it doesn't for others. I've read plenty of reviews of this before buying it and the views were mixed. Most dedicated racing game fans were disappointed with the graphics and the general gameplay. New gamers thought it was a good racing game as a standalone and enjoyed it. I can't say that I'm a dedicated racing game fan, but I have tried a few.
