Summary: I've tried this game multiple times. I just can't get that into it. Wii controlling is terrible so I play with a clasic controller, but the controls are so funky. R to go, L to break, a to drift...?? Why not make it like the old need for speed on PS 2 where "a" respectively is the gas, another button the break and R to drift?? Or better yet, have the game like they were 20 years ago on SNES where you could pick from a template of controls or program each button..
Summary: Meh, this game is ok. Perhaps it is a limitation of the Wii, but I really expected much better graphics. Maybe I am used to the PC versions and the great graphic environment. I am a little disappointed. Sports Resort and TW Golf both have better graphics than this game. Game play is acceptable.
Summary: This is a decent game but deffinitly not as good as all the awards and such state it is. Need for speed hot pursuit for PS1 was sooo much better as per the game layout. If the police wrech your car and catch you the game says busted and then respawns your car right where you left off. the cops dont do anything more then try and block you no spike strips no real threat. controls are good typical of need for speed. i think need for speed pro street was a better buy.
Summary: When it has came down racing games, there have been few and far between that've been said to deliver for the Wii. The most definitive has been Mario Kart Wii, because of the way it has changed gamers to not only deliver, but thrive as racers. But with one that is very definitive for a system, there is always one that does show that it needs improvement. That has been the case with the Need For Speed franchise.
Excerpt: This Game Is Criminal If you’re looking for a adrenaline packed, fun packed, exciting racing game for the Wii then there’s a few things you should do. Firstly remember the Wii doesn’t have the power of the PS3 or Xbox 360 and set you expectations a bit lower and to stay away from this poor excuse for a racing game.
