Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 Review

Cheat Code Central
30 June 2009
  • Conclusion: Although Clash of Ninja Revolution is certainly a playable game, its main fault lies in the fact that it hasn't really changed since last year's iteration or even since its GameCube days.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2

Video Game Generation
8 March 2009
  • Summary: All in all, Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 is a slight upgrade from the fighters before it. It does bring some authentic and impressive Naruto fun for the fans, but it is in dire need of a series update as well as a system change, as the Wii is just not cutting it.
  • Pros: 35 characters to choose from to brawl with., Fast, frenetic gameplay., Over 100 missions to complete., Uses the authentic voice actors from the series., Impressive battle royale gameplay.
  • Cons: Graphics are underwhelming., Controlling via the Wii Remote and Nunchuk is a nightmare., Very little improvement over the past few Naruto titles., The missions are often copies of others you have completed.

  • Summary: This ninja could learn some new moves.
  • Pros: Simplistic combat controls; fast-paced action; cell-shaded art is pretty good.
  • Cons: Where's the Naruto storyline we want; almost a duplicate of its predecessors; "Wall" feature almost feels like a cheat.

GameSpot
14 November 2008
  • Summary: Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 has a telling title. For instance, nearly every part is a piece of the series' history. It began as Naruto: Clash of Ninja on the GameCube. When it moved to the Wii, it gained the "Revolution." And now, the sequel is Clash of Ninja Revolution 2.
  • Pros: Combat is simple yet deep, The story mode is surprisingly involved, There's a ton of stuff to unlock
  • Cons: There's no online play, The cutscenes look terrible, Mission modes become tedious
