Could Have Been Better

Liz, Amazon
13 March 2014
  • Summary: As an original Sims fan, I brought this because I thought it would be fun when company was over and would be comparable to Wii Play or Wii Sports, but it was rather quite boring (for adults anyways). I ended up giving it to a friend's children (boys under age of 8) and they weren't interested in it either. The graphics are ok, but the games are really easy and not really exciting.

  • Summary: My daughter 7, gets annoyed with all the walking. Finally figured out how to get to the games. They arent the best of graphics but some of the games were fun.

Good, but not great

Megab812, Amazon
1 November 2012
  • Summary: It is fun but some of the directions are a little weird and the games are only ok. I feel like it is a rip off of other party games.

Regret buying..

DontBotherMe , GameStop

  • Summary: Out of the 4 My Sims games I own I have to say this is my least favorite. It was fun for the first couple of weeks with all the interesting contests but once you complete over half of the festivals it just doesn't seem that appealing to play. I haven't touched my My Sims Party since last summer and I will probably be taking it back to GameStop. This game would be ideal for younger kids and multi-players.

  • Summary: Not the best MySims game, but it was at least decent. The gameplay's average but it doesn't have big appeal

Not so fun for adults

J. Chan, Amazon
31 January 2010
  • Summary: If you have small kids and like to game with them, MySims Party is definitely at least worth a try, since the games are cute and accessible, even on first play. There is a very low threshold for "mastering" any of the minigames, and many of them come down to how fast you can wildly wave around the Wiimotes (and how much endurance you have to do it!). For multiplayer, basically the younger the players, the more fun it'll be.

It's okay...

Jennifer Cutler "Penny saver", Amazon

  • Summary: This game is geared more for children. I thought it would be like the Sims games for the PC but it was not. Children will enjoy the game.

Ok game

Southerngirl, Amazon
30 October 2009
  • Summary: I bought this for my nephew for his birthday, since he loves the Wii Sims games. He definitely does not like this one as much as the others. He said it's not as much fun, and he is 7 years old.

Take the good with the bad

P. Sumida "sumtchr", Amazon
20 March 2009
  • Summary: I have a daughter who's 7 and a son who's 5, and we love video games. We are big fans of Mario Party 8, which made us interested in this game. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: like the festivals (set of mini-games with little "surprise games" mixed in) because they make a game shorter than a game of Mario Party, games are good and simple to learn but difficult to master, no "practice" mode for a mini-game (my son will double the length of a game of MP8 if we don't limit...

My Sims Party

bettyboop..., Ciao
7 June 2013
  • Excerpt: "My Sims Party is a game for the Nintendo Wii console which is suitable for over 3's so it is one that the whole family can play together. It is an Electronic Arts game which was released in 2009. I got this game used as part of a 3 for £10 deal. When starting the game you can choose to play in festival mode or play mini games. The games are for between 1 and 4 players. You can choose to use an existing character or create your own. If you opt to ...
  • Pros: A good game for younger gamers
  • Cons: Some mini games are too short
