Summary: I've been playing The Sims for many years, and this was my first foray into their other games. This one held my interest for a few days, but I don't really like the mission-centric gaming. My 7-year-old niece plays it, though she can't get very far without my help, and I have to read her a lot of the dialogue. Kinda annoying, since I only set her down in front of the Wii when I have to vacuum or cook dinner!
Summary: I purchased this game for my 5 year old grandson. He loves the characters and completing the scrolls but finds it annoying that the characters make noises but don't actually speak. MSK involves a lot of reading! Some of the tasks to be accomplished are difficult and confusing. An older child would find the game easier but might become bored with it quickly.
Summary: I completely addicted to the first MySims game for Wii, but I wished they would come out with a sequel where they fixed the loading time issues and the frustrating build system. Well I was so excited to see MySims Kingdom (MSK) released, I bought it right away because the reviews said the loading time was nil and the building system was better. Well after a brief playtime I realized this was not the sequel I was waiting for.
Excerpt: MySIMS KINGDOM MySIMS Kingdom is the follow up of the 2007 game entitled MySIMS and its the same sort of game. The game was developed by EA Redwood Shores and published by Electronic Arts. The game is also actually from The Sims franchise but its completely different in many ways. MySIMS Kingdom is an adventure game but has elements of platform and simulation. MySIMS Kingdom is a really good game and only has a couple of downsides.
Pros: Build lots of objects and buildings and collect lots of items !
Cons: Too simple, weak graphics and a little childish at times .
Excerpt: This game is pure fun. You are a little sim guy traveling around the sims world helping people fix their lands, and earning awards. As you collect things like plants and metals you can unlock powers for your wand that help you do things like build houses, etc. The more you help people the more things you unlock for your wand, the more you can do. As you complete each island, the king gives you a scroll that gives you an award, food, etc.
Good Game For the Younger Sims Fans MySims Kingdom Wii
24 August 2010
Excerpt: The sims games seem to have been around on the market for a long time now and are constantly developing and improving. This is the second of the mainstream sims games to be bought out onto the nintendo wii. This is one of the first sims games I have seen that is really directed at the younger end of the spectrum. They have made everything far more straight forward, cuter and child friendly.
Pros: Great for the younger fans .
Cons: A bit simplistic compared to other Sims games .
Summary: Bought this for my 3year old but its too difficult for him as you need to be able to read a lot of instructions. However my 11yr and 9yr old daughters love it and will spend ages carrying out the tasks in the game. For there age it is not a difficult game to complete, just a pity it dosent speak the instructions so younger players can enjoy it.
