Summary: I really wanted to like this game, but I won't be spending much time with it. Maybe if I had a Nintendo ds to control it with it would be OK, but with the Wii it is impossible to play some of the games, such as Pasta Letters, up to speed. I might try it with my 9-year-old, because words at her level might be short enough to be doable. I also have a niggling thought that some of the iPod apps might be just as good for vocabulary development, and be more accessible.
Summary: I bought this game as we are nearing the summer holidays and I thought this would be a great way of keeping my 6 year old son interested words and help with his spelling. We both found it very difficult to navigate using the wii handset. Having just completed his SATS at school my son was above average but the words that were appearing were not appropriate for him - that's having set it up for his age. It is lacking a lot of fun.
Summary: we bought this for our 6 year old, and while the package states suitable for 3 plus, the content was much too difficult for him. On the limited amount we have played on this I would suggest it is more suitable for 12 +
Conclusion: I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old son since it's age 3plus, but it is defintely not suitable for such a young age. There's so much reading involved - i can't imagine there's any kids his age capable of doing this. Only played it once with him where I was reading out loud to him but even then he couldn't assist so the playability and entertainment for him only lasted 10 minutes.
