My Word Coach (Wii) Review

Vooks
4 March 2008
  • Excerpt: My Word Coach from Ubisoft instead of attempting to train your whole brain, seeks to expand only your vocabulary. And as we know, these games are different in style to normal games and are meant to be played in daily, 15-minute sessions over a number of weeks or months. This leads to a real problem when it comes to writing a review. Can a reviewer give an accurate opinion of the game by longer than intended sessions over a couple of days?

My Word Coach

Auracore MediaWorks

  • Summary: A fully priced port of an enjoyable handheld learning game.
  • Pros: A great learning tool; suitable for all ages.
  • Cons: Far too expensive; Wii controls aren't nearly as precise as they could be.

Expert Review

  • Excerpt: Or sure, killing aliens and jumping trucks over volcanoes is fun, but do they make you more loquacious? If only there was a videogame that made your vocabulary gooder. Now that would be cool.
