Summary: I bought this game as I was hoping it was going to be similar to Fitness Coach, which I've really enjoyed but got a bit bored with the same moves over and over. But I was so disappointed when I put this game on, as soon as I realised I couldn't even manage the tutorial section I knew I should have listened to the other reviews for this game.
Summary: this is the first exercise wii game we have purchased and i must say a bit disappointed with it! the music is mainly latin/samba which is difficult to do but to keep up with the instructor on the screen is impossible, there is a beginners mode but i found this to be too quick. you have to move your feet so fast you end up missing the next move because you are trying to copy what he is doing when you get into the swing of it its changed to something else.
Summary: Dance games tend to be my favourite types on the Wii console - they're always fun! However, I was really disappointed with this one. It seems just a bit too competitive, and I find you have to be absolutely perfect in order to register the moves, which I most certainly am not, so it takes the fun out of it a bit. It doesn't offer much in the way of a tutorial for the moves, and some of it can get quite complicated so it would be nice if the moves could be explained more.
Summary: I got this game when it first came out and have used it every day since then. First the good - the routines are fine - get you working very quickly and there's enough variety to make sure you don't get bored too quickly. But, oh my, the bad: for some reason this game hates my controllers - and it doesn't matter what I'm doing with my hands - it seems purely abitrary whether I'll get ranked Miss, Ok or Great. This is intensely frustrating.
Summary: I'm a relative newcomer to the fitness world and aged 50+. After considerable success with the wiifit this summer (combined with a low fat diet etc), I felt ready to move on so bought this product plus the Active Personal Trainer. I think I was a bit too ambitious! Although I've got into the Active Personal Trainer and managed to do virtually all of the exercises on that, I found My Fitness Coach was too difficult for me at this level of fitness.
Summary: More serious type of exercising than the Wii Fit. You need enough space in front of the tv to do sidewards movements. At least you get a rest between exercises which you dont get with Wii Active.
Summary: Following the initial set-up and assessment I have now completed 4 workouts. I like the style of the workouts but I'm finding them quite easy at the moment but having told Maya this, she has promised to increase the intensity of the workouts so that should make them more challenging. What I don't like about this is the lack of proper warm-ups/cool downs. I did the inital assessment without warming up and consequently my calves are really aching!
