  • Excerpt: Wii Sports offers five distinct sports experiences, each using the Wii Remote to provide a natural, intuitive and realistic feel. Players use their own Mii caricatures in the game and play them against their friends' Miis for a more personalised experience. As players improve, their Miis ' skill levels will increase, so they can see exactly how much better they've become.

  • Excerpt: It's been a long time since the purchase of a gaming system came with a game. I remember a Christmas morning some years ago. Santa had brought a Nintendo Entertainment System and it came with the Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, and Nintendo Track and Field cartridge. It also had the light gun for shooting ducks/skeet, and the power-pad for running and jumping for Track and Field.

  • Summary: You can't expect too much from a pack-in game, and Wii Sports is no exception. While it's true that you will probably have a good time with one or two of the activities presented on this disc, it's just as likely that you'll get bored of them after only a few plays and never touch them again. • Excerpt: Game systems on release haven’t had a pack-in game for awhile. Prices don’t seem to have done much because of this, but you had to buy games individually. Sure, a couple of years after release, you could get a pack-in around Christmas season – but for those that like to buy on release, you wouldn’t get one.

  • Conclusion: Overall this is probably one of the all-time great pack-ins, up there with Super Mario Bros. on the NES, even if it is for completely different reasons and completely different controls.
