Nice story presentation but the gameplay is far from the best in the series

Summary: Metroid other M is an interesting game because it tries to blend the feel of the side-scrolling Metroid games while adding a 3rd dimension to the side-scrolling environments and provides an auto-aim feature which would help casual gamers as well as help make the combat in the 3Dish areas less cumbersome.
Summary: I've been a Metroid fan, well...let me start over. Some of my earliest memories are of playing our NES console with my brothers and sister. Mario and Link and Samus are the three most prominent fictional characters of my childhood, even higher than Santa, the Easter Bunny, and Jesus. Video games were my upbringing, and Metroid has always been my favorite of the bunch. It is dark, brooding, and most importantly, it is fun!
Summary: I really liked the action in this game. I liked how they gave Samus excellent melee & finishing moves. The weapons were good as usual like they were in past Metroid games. I really enjoyed the boss battles. The graphics looked great to me, even in 2013. The controls were done well for the most part. I like the idea and feeling of switching between 3rd and 1st person.
Summary: Metriod Other M was a fun experience for me. Super Metriod was the first Metriod game I ever had and it was nice to see similarities between the two. This does feel somewhat different that the rest of the titles, but so did the Prime series. This is actually right in between with some 2D and 3D elements. Gamers that complain about not being able to dodge while aiming missiles need to step up their game because I was always able to dodge in the middle of aiming.
Summary: I grew up playing Metroid on the NES, so this was a natural choice when I started looking for new games. The graphics are great, the player interaction is extremely good, and the gameplay is smooth. Highly recommended if you like first-person shooter type games.
