Summary: This... I can’t totally say this is not what I expected because I watched the trailer and some videos, but it’s definitely not the same Metroid most of us are used to. Also we can’t blame it for being different because everybody was going crazy over Prime going the First Person Shooter way, and see...
Summary: I have played all Metroid games at this point. Other M is a throwback to the original type of Metroid game that came before the Prime series. You control Samus from a third person perspective in a 3D type world.
Summary: I was expecting so much, but in the end it just butchered Samus Aran's character, and had overall terrible design and gameplay. Avoid if you are a fan of the series, you are better off replaying the other titles.
Summary: I love the controls, visuals, sounds, etc. The only downside is the way Samus is taking orders from someone else. She's always struck me as more of a lone wolf throughout her other games, so in that sense this one feels a bit off.
A great game, even for you original die-hard Metroid fans.

Summary: A fantastic game, really. It has all the puzzle-solving, action features you look for in a Metroid game. Sure, it focuses a lot more on the story line then the game play at times, but it's not really a bad thing.
Summary: Metroid: Other M - one of the games that received derision from the gaming community just because it didn't follow the same formula as Retro Studios' Prime. Let me just say, in my opinion, they're dead wrong. Other M is a great game, played in a new style.
Summary: I am a Metroid fan, but I loved the atmosphere of this game. Team Ninja/Nintendo did a great job. Even this late in the Wii life, I reccomend it. It is a great game to miss and you'll have a blast playing, even among this new generation. Support.
