Summary: If you enjoy just a very casual game with a few enemies here and there, play some Mario games. Don't get me wrong, Mario games aren't bad. Metroid: Other M is just an awesome game. The control scheme takes some getting used to, but control sticks can sometimes be slow, get stuck in one position, or become loose- they have barely any effect on character movement.
Summary: Don't know what all the fuss is about from the prime series fans but this isn't metroid prime it's Metroid other M this is a direct sequel to super metroid. Game is great old school platforming style but 3d.
Summary: I liked this game, but again I'm biased. I enjoy the Metroid series. It was different from the Prime series, but it was a good change of pace. I get what others say about the story and Samus' personality, but I'm relatively new to the series since the gamecube days and the start of the Prime series, so I must admit i dont't fully understand that argument. Regardless, its a fun game and shouldnt be missed on the Wii.
Summary: I've been a Metroid fan, well...let me start over. Some of my earliest memories are of playing our NES console with my brothers and sister. Mario and Link and Samus are the three most prominent fictional characters of my childhood, even higher than Santa, the Easter Bunny, and Jesus. Video games were my upbringing, and Metroid has always been my favorite of the bunch. It is dark, brooding, and most importantly, it is fun!
Summary: This game is completely underrated. It is bashed by many Metroid fans for all the wrong reasons. "It's too easy!" Um, this game is FAR from EASY. I died battling some of the bosses MULTIPLE TIMES. "The control is awkward and broken!" The control scheme of this may be odd and a little awkward but it is in no way broken and I think that it's one of the most original controls of any Wii game.
Summary: I always pick up games very quickly, but this one didn't stick. The controls are clunky, the cut scenes are slow and uninteresting, and the level design is too linear and requires too much back-tracking. This game does not have the ethereal quality of Metroid Prime, and feels much lower quality. I was disappointed.
Summary: This game is good but could have been better. If I were to describe this game I would say that the graphics are excellent and gameplay is great. The only negative about this game is that the cutscences are too long, with an emotionless commander telling you what to do, and a weak Samus character. The bad storytelling stipped of her strength of character and made her seem scared and weak. I bought this game back in 2011, it's good but not what I fully expected.
