If you enjoy Metal Slug then this is a must buy.

Jimmy, Amazon

  • Summary: The gameplay might get repetitive after awhile but this game is just sheer fun. The design of the characters and the colorful graphics never get old and its a GREAT way to waste some time, especially with a friend. The only slight negative is the control with the Wii. You have to shake the Wii Remote to throw grenades which gets extremely annoying after awhile. It also sucks that you cannot use the classic Wii Control and have to use the Wii Remote.

A collection of classics

  • Summary: From the arcade to the consoles, these are a staple in the Side-scrolling shooter classics genre. It's hard to hate metal slug for anything other than it's classic difficulty

Hours of Fun but lacking some levels

BB, Amazon
30 August 2013
  • Summary: I bought this game because my husband and I are obsessed with it on the Wii. We recently went to an arcade and I was overjoyed to discover that Metal Slug 6 was made (although much later - 2004). I looked online and all I could find was information for the anthology, so I purchased it. This was mostly to play #6. Although extremely entertaining, #6 only had a few levels and there was no end guy.

Enjoying the old Metal Slug games but..

Mike, Amazon

  • Summary: It really has some weird setups for controllers. You can't use the joystick on gamecube controllers to navigate menus. If you don't start a game with the first game cube controller, it automatically puts in two people. Also takes a bit of extra time to load between screens that wasn't needed on the arcade versions. Most of the setups for controllers are impractical to use.

  • Summary: This is great, 7 Metal Slug games on one disc. It's the first game I bought for the Wii and it's a good set for the money. The only problem is the Wii exclusive controlles are a bit weird getting use to, but you can use a game cube controller or just use the classic cotrolle scheam so its not that big of a deal.

  • Summary: This is one of the oldest Wii titles but a great one. If you have played any of the Metal Slug games at some point or another then you know the drill. You are getting 7 games on one disk for a low price. Admittedly, there are a number of points where the various games have slow down and awkward loading times. The controls unfortunately do not allow for the classic controller to be used with the game as well.

  • Summary: For the price of one of the Metal Slugs on the Android you can just get this for the Wii. It was amazing game. It stands the trail of time and continues to be fun, much like the well known collection of Mario, this game too deserves praise of being fun and entertaining.

An essential Metal Slug collection of games

Martin Hoang, Amazon
13 April 2013
  • Summary: This is a great deal if you want to be able to play Metal Slug games! It's better than getting each and every single other Metal Slug game on the Virtual Console or something. Also do note that this game is the only way to play Metal Slug 6 on something not an arcade cabinet. Actually, the 6th game is the only reason I got it.
