Those who enjoy World War II-theme video games may enjoy playing this Wii game under the first-person shooter category. Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 is the third title to be released under the Medal of Honor video game series.
Features
In this game, you will have to assume the role of Lt. John Berg (an OSS Operative) who has to lead his team through seven missions against the Germans of World War II. You can go do game play either in single-player mode or in online multi-player mode. Your activities run the gamut of the usual wartime tasks soldiers had to do back then: get secret documents, fire guns, plant explosives, and the like. In your final missions, you set out to stop the Germans from developing their own Atomic Bomb. Bear in mind though that a Wii-version for this game was made differently from its PSP version.
Review Summary
Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is a war-themed game. As the player you become active in the Special Forces and you have to stop Hitler from deploying his new rocket, the V2. You will have to go through eight missions, perform the usual activities; plant charges, pick up documents, fight in a church, launch mortar rockets, operate large cannons and stationary machine guns, and kill many Nazi soldiers. You don’t get to know where these soldiers are coming from; you just see them appear on the screen. Enemy soldiers running in front of you in an effort to reach their preprogrammed destinations. Your incompetent team mates will just stand gazing at the enemy without doing anything. The game is fast moving. You can get information by going up to a radio and tuning in the appropriate frequency, by twisting the Wii Remote. The sound from the radio even comes through the remote’s speaker. Using the shotgun is great; you just have to raise the Nunchuk fast. You will be completely immersed in Medal of Honor Heroes 2 and take yourself as an action hero when you run into a guy at close range and start fighting. Using explosive is like twisting the remote and then pulling back. You can also find yourself with a mine detector, and you’ll have to be alert to the hidden danger. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 with sharp controls and fast action is a great game.
For the first time on Wii, play 32-player online multiplayer and Arcade Mode. Wii Zapper compatible.

Medal of Honor: Heroes 2

Read more

Medal of Honor: Heroes 2
Reviewer: almenconi.com12 March 2008The Wii is pretty short on FPS's and this is the Wii's second best offering right under Metroid Prime 3 in this category. Thankfully the game is pretty clean except the fact you are killing hundreds of Nazi's. War is never pretty, fair, and in some cases right. But what happened WWII is every bit justifiable in my opinion and I am proud that some heeded the call to defend the innocents and fight for freedom. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 earns a 91 (A-). first-person shooter set in World War II. All sarcasm aside, the latest instalment in EA’s ever branching series has a few tricks up its sleeve that manage to keep it from becoming another boring game in what has arguably become a saturated sub-genre. Read more

Absolutely. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is one of the best handling first-person shooters on the Wii. The controls are smooth and precise, qualities absent from just about every other shooter on the Wii, save for Metroid Prime 3. It’s not really rocket science either. The Wii Remote is used as a pointer to aim, while the B and A buttons are used to shoot and aim down the sights respectively. The control pad toggles your stance up and down, and selects weapons left and rig... Read more

The Medal of Honor franchise has been busy as of late. After releasing Medal of Honor Heroes on PSP last fall, EA has published Medal of Honor Vanguard for PS2 and Wii, Medal of Honor Airborne for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 for PSP and Wii. Is the second Heroes and fourth Medal of Honor game in a year worth your gaming time in a holiday season as packed as 2007? Yes it is. Read more
